This quality of understanding the profound meaning and words enables one to realize all truths. The reason for constant benefit and happiness is to attain Nirvana as is appropriate and to obtain higher realms. The reason for repeatedly practicing and the single means is that the Dharma should be practiced again and again, and because it is the only means. Thus, there is no other means to attain the Dharma of Nirvana. "That" refers to the Bodhisattva. "To abandon afflictions and Nirvana" means to eliminate all afflictions of oneself, one should exhaust attachment to oneself. To abandon Nirvana, one should increase attachment to others, that is, generate compassion. These two refer to attachment to oneself and Nirvana. Wisdom and compassion are the cause of their increase. Wisdom is the cause of the exhaustion of one's own afflictions, while compassion, which is attachment to others, is the cause of the increase of the path to enlightenment. Because it is so, therefore, the root of enlightenment is said to be twofold. The cause of its increase, that is, wisdom and compassion, the cause of the increase of those two is the cause of its increase. "With fruit" refers to the practitioner. Inferior ones. "Those who possess attachment to what should be taken up" means attachment is taking up what should be taken up by inferior ones. Those who have that are those who possess attachment to taking up what should be taken up by inferior ones. Afflictions and near afflictions, such as pure desires, etc. Near afflictions are shamelessness and lack of shame, jealousy and stinginess, etc. The actions arising from them are the actions arising from afflictions and near afflictions. The three kinds of suffering are the suffering of conditioning, the suffering of change, and the suffering of suffering. Sorrow, etc.

The term "alas" refers to words such as sorrow, weeping, suffering, discomfort, and anxiety. Words such as sickness, old age, and death, and the word "etcetera," refer to separation from unpleasant things, encountering unpleasant things, and so on. Hearing and abiding refer to hearing and abiding. Among these, hearing refers to the Dharma. Abiding refers to the meaning of the Dharma, which is to arise truthfully within oneself. Because of being completely imbued with qualities such as discipline, hearing, and contentment, and the word "etcetera" refers to contentment and extreme solitude, etcetera, just as it is said in the Sutras. Because the mind that wants to act is great, it is said that the mind that wants to be the actor is initiated from the root. In that moment, initiation follows at the time of action. Walking, suffering, helping, and excellent qualities refer to excellent walking, excellent suffering, excellent helping, and excellent qualities, just as it is extensively explained in the Abhidharmakosha. Merely through the end, refers to becoming powerful merely through the end. Because of being increased by the pervasive thought of great joy. Among these, great joy refers to the state of mind in the stage of yoga, when observing the accumulation of discipline, etcetera, one feels happy and great joy arises, thinking that one's accumulation is complete. In the state of equanimity, feeling happy is contradictory. Therefore, it is said that joy arises from great joy. The mental activity that corresponds to great joy itself is the mental activity of great joy. The pervasive thoughts of the mental activity of great joy are the pervasive thoughts of the mental activity of great joy. Being increased by them refers to increasing by practicing them. Because of being increased by the pervasive thought of the mental activity of great joy, therefore increased by the pervasive thought of the mental activity of great joy.
