The forbearance of knowing suffering accordingly; the forbearance of knowing the origin accordingly; the forbearance of knowing cessation accordingly; the forbearance of knowing the path accordingly. Among them, knowing the suffering of the two upper realms as impermanent, etc., in four aspects is called the forbearance of knowing suffering accordingly. Knowing the origin of the two upper realms in four aspects is the forbearance of knowing the origin accordingly. Knowing the cessation of the nine kinds of afflictions in four aspects is called the forbearance of knowing cessation accordingly. Knowing the path of the two upper realms in four aspects is called the forbearance of knowing the path accordingly. The antidote wisdom for the nine kinds of afflictions to be abandoned by meditation in the two upper realms, divided into nine nines, also has nine nines. The great of the great, etc., are as before. Among them, the paths to be abandoned by seeing and meditation are called the immediate path. Among them, whatever afflictions are to be abandoned by seeing and meditation in the place or body of the two realms, and whatever antidotes there are, whatever moments of the immediate path arise and occur, then the antidote will abandon those afflictions and separate them. How is it? After the forbearance of knowing suffering accordingly arises, it will abandon the suffering of the two realms, the ninety-nine kinds of afflictions to be abandoned by seeing. After the forbearance of knowing the origin accordingly arises, it will be separated from the six-six kinds of afflictions to be abandoned by seeing the origin of the two realms. After the forbearance of knowing cessation accordingly arises, it will be separated from the six-six kinds of afflictions to be abandoned by seeing the cessation of the two realms. After the forbearance of knowing the path accordingly arises, it will abandon the seven-seven kinds of afflictions to be abandoned by seeing the path of the two realms. The nine kinds of afflictions to be abandoned by meditation are also the immediate path. When the smallest of the small wisdom is the time, it abandons the greatest of the great afflictions. Therefore, the greatest of the great wisdom abandons the smallest of the small afflictions. Thus, in the first moment, the antidote to afflictions

If one abandons afflictions by being born with a body accompanied by the path, then from the subsequent moment onwards, one can see, and one cannot generate another body related to the seeds of afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation. Because the previous moment of a body without afflictions can generate the subsequent moment of a body without afflictions, but cannot generate a subsequent body with afflictions, it is said that the antidote to afflictions does not cause the aggregates to increase, which is called cessation by individual analysis. In the cessation of cessation by individual analysis, suchness is mentioned. Therefore, in order to understand the nature of suchness, one asks, what is suchness? That is, what is the nature of suchness? The nature of emptiness, which is permanent, abides as such, and because the nature does not change, it is called suchness. As an answer to this question, it is said, "Whatever is the dharmata of all dharmas." "All dharmas" refers to form, feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness. "The dharmata of all dharmas" refers to the nature of all dharmas, that is, the essence of all dharmas. The essence of all dharmas is emptiness, which is devoid of the grasper and the grasped. Emptiness, which is devoid of the grasper and the grasped, is called dharmata. Furthermore, there are other dharmatas. In order to avoid thinking that impermanence and suffering are also called dharmata, it is said, "Whatever is the selflessness of dharmas." Like this, dharmas such as form and sound, because they are the nature of the grasper and the grasped, are the objects of establishment and expression. That which is known and expressed as the essence of the grasper and the grasped is called "dharma." The selflessness of dharmas refers to emptiness, which is devoid of the entity of the grasper and the grasped, and is not the object of cognition and expression, and is called the selflessness of dharmas. In reality, the self-empty nature of imputed phenomena is called the selflessness of dharmas. Therefore, impermanence and so on, which are called "dharma," cannot be called "dharmata." Alternatively, all dharmas can be summarized into two: conditioned and unconditioned, and these also have three characteristics.
