That is, the four cessations, such as non-discriminating cessation, although they are cessations, are not of the nature of being separated from afflictions. Therefore, the word "separation" excludes the remaining four cessations. In order to clearly show the meaning of what is called "cessation" and what is called "separation," it is also said that, by the antidote to afflictions, the aggregates are no longer produced. Or, the elimination of afflictions by the path of seeing and the path of meditation is called "cessation." The mind-stream that is obtained after the afflictions have ceased and is separated from afflictions is called "separation," in order to show separation from the result. That is, because afflictions have been abandoned, there are no afflictions, and therefore the five aggregates will no longer be produced in other lifetimes, which is called the antidote to afflictions no longer producing the aggregates. In reality, it is abandoning the origin and the truth of suffering, and the cessation is called cessation by individual examination. Its meaning should be carefully studied. The so-called "coming" does not mean residing in the body, but the body, enjoyment, and place all appear in the Alaya consciousness, so it is said to reside in the Alaya consciousness. Among them, this place of the desire realm has the seeds of afflictions to be abandoned by the seeing and meditation of the three realms. The place of the form realm has the seeds of afflictions of the form realm and the formless realm. The formless realm has the seeds of afflictions of one realm, that is, it has the seeds of the formless realm. Among the three realms, in the desire realm, the afflictions are abandoned by the antidote to afflictions, and the aggregates are no longer produced, which should be studied more carefully. Among them, in the desire realm, among the four truths, the ten afflictions to be abandoned by seeing suffering are: the view of the aggregates of existence, the view of holding to extremes, wrong view, the view of holding views as supreme, the view of holding ethics and asceticism as supreme, doubt, desire, anger, pride, and ignorance. The seven afflictions to be abandoned by seeing the origin are: from the previous ten, removing the view of the aggregates of existence, the view of holding to extremes, and the view of holding ethics and asceticism as supreme, and adding wrong view, the view of

Lassitude, doubt, desire, anger, pride, and ignorance, these are seven. In order to be abandoned through seeing, there are seven afflictions to be abandoned, namely the seven afflictions to be abandoned through seeing arising. There are eight afflictions to be abandoned through seeing the path, which are the previous seven plus the addition of pride in morality and asceticism, making eight. Thus, the total number of afflictions to be abandoned by seeing in the desire realm is thirty-two afflictions. The afflictions to be abandoned by meditation in the desire realm, the four of desire, anger, pride, and ignorance, are divided into nine

Whatever afflictions exist, their antidotes, in the immediate moment of the path, whenever they arise, the antidote abandons those afflictions and separates from them. For example, when the forbearance of knowledge of dharma arises for suffering, by seeing suffering, one can abandon the ten afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, and separate from them. When the forbearance of knowledge of dharma arises for the origin, by seeing the origin, one can abandon the seven afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, and separate from them. When the forbearance of knowledge of dharma arises for cessation, by seeing cessation, one can abandon the seven afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, and separate from them. When the forbearance of knowledge of dharma arises for the path, by seeing the path, one can abandon the eight afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, and separate from them. And the nine afflictions to be abandoned by meditation, and the nine wisdoms, the immediately following path, the small part of small wisdom, can abandon the large part of large afflictions, therefore, the immediately following path, the great of great wisdom, can abandon the extremely small of small afflictions. Thus, in the first moment, because the body with the antidote of afflictions and the path arises, having abandoned the afflictions, from the later moments onwards, the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing and meditation cannot produce other bodies related to karma. Because the body with the antidote does not produce the later moment, and does not become the cause of the later body with afflictions, it is called that the antidote of afflictions does not fully produce the aggregates. Why does the former body without afflictions with the noble path not produce the later body with afflictions? Because the body without afflictions accompanied by the noble path, the body that arose in the former moment, is contradictory to the later body with afflictions. Therefore, the former body does not become the cause of producing the later body with afflictions, and does not produce the later body. If the former body without afflictions does not become the cause of producing the later body with afflictions, then what does the body depend on? That is because there is no cause for producing the later body separated from the seeds of afflictions to be abandoned by seeing and meditation. Afflict
