Then, not obstructing the arising of forms and other phenomena is called space. Or, because things are very apparent in this space, it is called space. Below space, if one speaks of cessation not due to analysis, then in order to understand the nature of cessation not due to analysis, one asks: What is cessation not due to analysis? This is asking what the nature of cessation not due to analysis is. Among these, for the term "analysis," the terms "examination," "measurement," "discrimination," and "wisdom" are merely different expressions, and their meaning is the same. "Separately" is like this: For each of the four noble truths of suffering, origin, cessation, and path, for the truth of suffering, one examines and understands with wisdom that it is impermanent, suffering, empty, and selfless; for the truth of origin, one examines and understands that it is cause, condition, arising, and manifestation; for the truth of cessation, one examines and understands that it is cessation, peace, excellence, and liberation; for the truth of the path, one examines and understands that it is path, reason, practice, and production. Thus, by examining and measuring each of the four noble truths, one abandons afflictions and causes the aggregates to cease without arising, which is called cessation due to analysis. In reality, the distinction of wisdom that knows the four noble truths is called analysis. Cessation without analysis is called cessation not due to analysis. In reality, without wisdom, the aggregates and other phenomena do not arise, which is called cessation not due to analysis. This is also not possessing conditions, that is, the future phenomena that will arise, because they do not possess the cause and conditions for arising, and without conditions they do not arise. Therefore, in the future, the body and other phenomena will not arise, which is called cessation not due to analysis. As an answer to this question, the phrase "What is inseparable from cessation" is stated. Furthermore, there are two situations: afflictions not yet arisen are inseparable from cessation, and afflictions already arisen are separated from cessation. By analysis

Therefore, non-discrimination cessation refers to the belief that aggregates do not arise, rather than being separated from aspects, which is a definition. In essence, it is explaining that the obstruction of non-discrimination cessation is the nature of aggregates not arising at all, rather than the nature of abandoning afflictions. Regarding this, the term "cessation" is not only used for non-discrimination cessation, but also in scriptures for cessation through discrimination. The attainment of non-perception is also called cessation, and non-perception is also called cessation. It is said in the scriptures that phenomena are impermanent, arising and then ceasing, and impermanence is also called cessation. Therefore, in order to exclude the explanation of discrimination cessation here, the term "non-separation" is mentioned. Because discrimination cessation is the nature of separation, and the nature of non-discrimination cessation is non-separation, the term "non-separation" is used to exclude discrimination cessation. Therefore, for the term "non-separation," the meaning of separation is further emphasized. The antidote to afflictions, through wisdom, completely uproots the seeds of afflictions from the mindstream, causing afflictions and aggregates to not arise at all in the future, which is called separation. Even if the seeds of afflictions exist in the mindstream, but if they are not uprooted and eliminated by wisdom, these dharmas do not possess the conditions for arising. Because there are no conditions, future dharmas do not arise at all, and these dharmas will not arise, which is called non-discrimination cessation. After explaining in this way, a refutation is made: For example, for noble Arhats, in places of similar kinds such as gods, humans, or hells, there are seeds of undetermined karma existing in the mindstream, the aggregates of these noble Arhats will not arise in the future. Because they have attained the state of never arising, this would also become the fault of non-discrimination cessation. In order to eliminate this doubt, it is said, "Among them, without the antidote to afflictions, aggregates do not arise at all." The aggregates of noble Arhats do not arise because they have performed virtuous deeds, and this karma will not cause future aggregates.
