འི་ཕྱིར་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཅེས་བྱ་སྟེ། དཔེར་ན་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་དཀོན་པ་དང་རིན་ཆེ་བ་དང༌། དགའ་བར་བྱེད་པ་དང༌། ཕན་འདོགས་པ་དང་མི་མ་ཡིན་པའི་གནོད་པ་མེད་པར་བྱེད་པ་བཞིན་དུ་སངས་རྒྱས་དང་ཆོས་དང་དགེ་འདུན་གྱིས་ཀྱང་རྣམ་པ་དེ་ལྔ་བྱེད་པས་ན་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཅེས་བྱའོ། །ཇི་ལྟར་ནོར་བུ་རིན་བོ་ཆེ་དཀོན་ཏེ་དུས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་མི་འབྱུང་བ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱང༌། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ལུས་དང་སྲོག་ལ་ཡང་མི་ཕོངས་པར་རྒྱུན་དུ་བསོད་ནམས་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ཚོགས་བསྒྲུབ་ཀྱང་བསྐལ་པ་གྲངས་མེད་པ་གསུམ་གྱིས་འཚང་རྒྱ་བར་འགྱུར་བས་ན། དཀོན་པ་སྟེ་དེ་བས་ན་མདོ་ལས་ཀྱང་སངས་རྒྱས་འབྱུང་བ་ནི་ཨུ་དུམ་བཱ་རའི་མེ་ཏོག་འབྱུང་བ་བཞིན་ནོ་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ། །སངས་རྒྱས་འབྱུང་བ་དཀོན་པར་གྱུར་པས་ཆོས་དང་དགེ་འདུན་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཉིས་ཀྱང་དཀོན་པ་ཉིད་དོ། སངས་རྒྱས་འབྱུང་བ་ལ་རག་ལས་པས་དེ་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་དེ་གཉིས་འབྱུང་བའི་ཕྱིར་རོ། །ཇི་ལྟར་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་རིན་ཆེ་བ་བཞིན་དུ་སངས་རྒྱས་དེ་ཡང་བསོད་ནམས་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ཚོགས་ཀྱིས་བསྒྲུབས་པས་འཐོབ་པས་ན་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་རིན་ཆེ་བའོ། །དེ་ལ་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་དྲུག་ལས་སྦྱིན་པ་དང་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་དང་བཟོད་པའི་པ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་གསུམ་ནི་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱི་ཚོགས་སོ། །བསམ་གཏན་དང་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་གཉིས་ནི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ཚོགས་སོ། །བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ཀྱི་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་ནི་གཉི་གའི་གྲོགས་སུ་གྱུར་པའོ། །ཆོས་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཅེས་བྱ་བ་ནི་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདའ་བ་ལ་བྱ་སྟེ། དེ་ཡང་འཇིག་རྟེན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་ཕངས་པར་བརྩི་བའི་ཕུང་པོ་ལྔ་སྤངས་པས་འཐོབ་པས་ན་རིན་ཆེ་བ་ཞེས་བྱའོ། །དགེ་འདུན་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཀྱང་འཁོར་བར་སྐྱེས་པའི་བསོད་ནམས་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་ལྟ་བུ་ནི་མ་ཡིན་གྱི། འཁོར་བ་ལས་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར་བའི་བསོད་ནམས་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ཚོགས་བསྒྲུབས་པས་འཐོབ་པས་ན་རིན་ཆེ་བའོ། །ཇི་ལྟར་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་བདོག་ན་དགའ་བར་བྱེད་པ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ གསུམ་པོ་འདི་མཐོང་ཡང་རུང་ཐོས་ཀྱང་རུང༌། རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པར་བྱས་ཀྱང་རུང་དགའ་བའི་རྒྱུར་འགྱུར་བས་ན་དགའ་བར་བྱེད་པའོ། །ཇི་ལྟར་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་བདོག་ན་ནོར་བུ་གཞན་ཡང་འདུ་བས་ཕན་འདོགས་པར་བྱེད་པ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་འདི་གསུམ་ལ་བསུ་བ་དང་བསྙེན་བཀུར་བྱ་བ་དང༌། ཡོངས་སུ་ཤེས་པར་བྱས་ན། ལྷ་དང་མིའི་འབྲས་བུ་འཐོབ་པ་ནས། མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདའ་བའི་བར་དུ་འཐོབ་པ

之故称为三宝，譬如珍宝稀有且珍贵，令人喜悦，能带来利益，且能免除非人的损害一样，佛、法、僧也具有这五种功用，所以称为三宝。如同珍宝稀有，不是任何时候都会出现一样，佛陀也是如此。菩萨们不惜身命，恒常修集福德和智慧资粮，也要经历三大阿僧祇劫才能成佛，所以是稀有的。因此，经中也说，佛陀的出现就像优昙婆罗花开放一样。佛陀出现稀有，因此法和僧这二宝也是稀有的。因为依赖于佛陀的出现，依靠佛陀才能出现这二者。如同珍宝珍贵一样，佛陀也是通过修集福德和智慧资粮才能获得，所以是珍贵的。其中，六度中的布施、持戒和忍辱波罗蜜多是福德资粮。禅定和智慧波罗蜜多是智慧资粮。精进波罗蜜多是二者的助伴。法宝指的是涅槃，它也是通过舍弃世间一切都珍视的五蕴而获得的，所以是珍贵的。僧宝也不是像轮回中产生的福德和智慧那样，而是通过修集能够从轮回中解脱出来的福德和智慧资粮才能获得的，所以是珍贵的。如同拥有珍宝令人喜悦一样，这三宝，无论是见到、听到，还是忆念，都会成为喜悦的因缘，所以是令人喜悦的。如同拥有珍宝能吸引其他珍宝一样，对于这三宝，如果能够迎接、恭敬，并且完全了解，就能从获得天人和人的果报，直到获得涅槃

Therefore, they are called the Three Jewels. For example, just as a precious jewel is rare and precious, brings joy, brings benefits, and prevents harm from non-humans, the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha also perform these five functions, so they are called the Three Jewels. Just as a precious jewel is rare and does not appear at all times, so is the Buddha. Even though Bodhisattvas do not spare their body and life, and constantly accumulate the accumulations of merit and wisdom, it takes three countless kalpas to attain enlightenment. Therefore, it is rare. Therefore, it is also said in the sutras that the appearance of the Buddha is like the appearance of the udumbara flower. Because the appearance of the Buddha is rare, the two jewels of Dharma and Sangha are also rare. Because it depends on the appearance of the Buddha, it is based on him that these two appear. Just as a precious jewel is precious, so is the Buddha, who is obtained by accumulating the accumulations of merit and wisdom, so he is precious. Among them, the three paramitas of generosity, discipline, and patience among the six paramitas are the accumulation of merit. The two paramitas of meditation and wisdom are the accumulation of wisdom. The paramita of diligence is a companion to both. The Dharma Jewel refers to Nirvana, which is also obtained by abandoning the five aggregates that are cherished by all in the world, so it is precious. The Sangha Jewel is not like the merit and wisdom that arise in samsara, but is obtained by accumulating the accumulations of merit and wisdom that can liberate one from samsara, so it is precious. Just as having a precious jewel brings joy, these three jewels, whether seen, heard, or remembered, become a cause of joy, so they are pleasing. Just as having a precious jewel attracts other precious jewels, if one can welcome, respect, and fully understand these three jewels, one can obtain the fruits of gods and humans, up to obtaining Nirvana.
