If asked: Why is it called "manifestation of form"? The answer is: How is manifestation of form the nature of form? Like joining palms and other bodily actions, from the aspect of bodily actions, it is possible to recognize the nature of the inner mind. Although that non-manifestation is also the nature of form, it is called non-manifestation because it is not possible to recognize the nature of the inner mind from that aspect. From the four great elements to non-manifestation, why are those called form? The answer is: Because they can be destroyed and harmed, they are called form. The Blessed One also said: Monks, because it can be destroyed and harmed, it is called form, the aggregate of appropriation. If asked: Then non-manifestation is invisible and unobstructed, and cannot be destroyed and harmed, how does it become form? The answer is: Although non-manifestation itself cannot be destroyed and harmed, just as cutting down a tree results in the absence of shadow, and breaking a precious jewel results in the absence of light, if the four great elements decline, then the form of non-manifestation will also decline, so there is no fault in calling it form. The explanation of the aggregate of form is complete. After explaining the aggregate of form, the aggregate of feeling is mentioned next, so it is time to explain it. If asked: What is feeling? This is asking what the nature of the aggregate of feeling is. Here, it is not asked what the aggregate of feeling is, but what feeling is. Why is this asked? It should be explained in the same way as the answer to the aggregate of form earlier. In answering the question, it is said that "there are three kinds of feeling." Feeling means sensation, experiencing the pleasantness of the nature of objects, experiencing the suffering of the nature of objects, and experiencing the three natures of objects that are neither pleasant nor painful, and making them manifest, so it is called feeling. Or, experiencing the results of virtuous actions, non-virtuous actions, and neutral actions, experiencing happiness, suffering, and neither happiness nor suffering, so it is called feeling. To show how many kinds of feeling there are if they are further divided, happiness and suffering and
