Therefore, it is also impossible to arise from this. Therefore, this thought is not permissible because it would become complete Nirvana. The reason is that they believe that the cause is the only existence that has self, is unchanging, impermanent, and capable, but not the opposite. As the Bhagavan said, "Because this exists, that arises; because this is born, that is born; thus, ignorance conditions actions." Therefore, the cause is not permanent, nor is it non-existent, nor is it effective, nor is it incapable. The Alaya-vijñana (kun gzhi rnam par shes pa,ālaya-vijñāna,阿頼耶識,藏文:ཀུན་གཞི་རྣམ་པར་ཤེས་པ་) possesses the seeds of all conditioned dharmas, and it arises continuously until death. When arising from a state of mindlessness, the entering consciousness arises from the Alaya-vijñana itself. The sutra also says, "The consciousness of cessation samāpatti does not leave the body." At the time of entering samāpatti, the consciousness does not leave the body, which cannot be other than the Alaya-vijñana. Why? If it is thought that the consciousness of cessation samāpatti arises universally other than the Alaya-vijñana, then it must be admitted that both perception and feeling, which are born from contact, and thought and intention, also arise universally, because the sutra speaks of the consciousness of the three gatherings, and the feeling born from contact, and thought and intention. Therefore, since there are perception and feeling, it will not become the cessation of perception and feeling. If someone thinks that the sutra says "feeling conditions craving," and not all feelings are the condition for craving, and similarly, not all contacts are the condition for perception and feeling, so there is no fault, that is also not correct. Because other sutras specifically point out that craving arises from feeling born from contact associated with ignorance, but contact is not distinguished in this way anywhere, this is not the same. Therefore, when arising from cessation samāpatti and non-perception samāpatti, and non-percipient beings, undoubtedly it must be admitted that the seeds of the Alaya-vijñana universally arise in all states and produce.

Depending on this, it should be understood that apart from the operating consciousness, there is another Alaya consciousness, because of the very fact that it operates in a different way. The "moreover" stated at the end should also be applied here. The objective condition is all the dharmas of the mind consciousness of the five consciousnesses such as the eye and the five objects such as form. From the aspect of form etc. to the aspect of sound etc. is a different aspect. Similarly, from the aspect of sound etc. to the aspect of form etc., and from the aspect of yellow etc. to the aspect of blue etc. are different aspects. In this way, it should be extensively explained in all aspects. The obtainer of operating in a different way, because it belongs to this consciousness, that consciousness is operating in a different way, and because it exists, it is operating in a different way. Whatever operates in a different way by relying on the objective condition, operates in a different way by relying on the objective condition. The reason for saying "because of itself" is to know that apart from the consciousness that operates by holding, there is another Alaya consciousness. Here, the consciousnesses appear differently with their respective objects, so they are immediately different from each other, but not because of different dominant causes. Therefore, it is said in this way, "relying on the objective condition and operating in a different way, because of itself." The very act of operating in a different way, just as it cannot but rely on the objective condition, so it cannot but rely on the causal condition. Whatever possesses those seeds is their common cause, and the operating consciousnesses cannot become one with one seed. Because there is a sequence to the consciousnesses of good and non-good, and the unstated, the inferior, the medium, the superior realms, the worldly, the transcendental, the contaminated and the uncontaminated. Also, the impregnation of the habitual tendencies of that very thing has not been seen. It is not at another time, nor is it unrelated. However, it is seen that flowers etc. that arise and perish simultaneously impregnate grains, therefore
