Which are the things that are not considered different? Those are the things that are grasped like the senses. Others are the things that are not grasped. For example, hair, body hair, and nails other than the torso, teeth, feces, urine, and saliva, mucus and blood, and so on, and earth and water, and so on. What is the meaning of "grasped"? Because both benefit and harm mutually influence each other, whatever arises from mind and mental factors are grasped by the objects of the blessed places, and are called sentient beings in the world. How many are the things that are not grasped? The remaining nine, and the "four directions" are called whatever is other than those that have already been explained, those are the remaining ones. Therefore, there are seven realms of mind, the realm of dharma, and the realm of sound. The "four directions" refer to form, smell, taste, and touch. Furthermore, there are parts that are not considered different from the senses, and hair and body hair other than the torso, and so on. How many are the same supports? Because this is the category of the eighteen realms, combine them there. The so-called "five internal form-possessing things," because the twelve internal ones have been shown, among those, it is impossible to determine which ones, therefore the term "five" is mentioned. The so-called "form-possessing things" are the realms of eye, ear, nose, tongue, and body. Because it is not known whose support is the same, and in what way the support is the same, therefore, it is said, "Because they are the same with their own consciousnesses and the common object." For the eye, its own consciousness is eye consciousness, its own consciousness is the same as the eye's own object, form, both are in accordance with the arising of eye consciousness, therefore they are the same. "Common" refers to being grasped, the eye's own object, form, is called the same support. Similarly, for the ear and so on, it should also be said that it is the same as its own object, the support is the same. That is to say, wherever the eye and so on reside with their own consciousnesses, they will be shown to have the same support. How many are the same as those? The eye and so on themselves are empty of their own consciousnesses, that is the same as those.

Why are those said to be the same as those? Because they conform to their own kind. That is to say, the eye, etc., which are the emptiness of one's own consciousness, are the same as the eye, etc., which have the same support, and the eye, etc., are the same in kind. Because they are the same as those, they are said to be the same as those. Because those are not common, they are the same support of one, and whatever is the same as those is also of all sentient beings. Therefore, the same support of these, and being the same as those, is certain. Form, etc., in their respective continuums, exist as the same support and as the same as those themselves. Because there is no other agent than consciousness, the same support and the same as those are not spoken of for others. The "Analysis of the Five Aggregates," written by the teacher Sthiramati, is completed. Translated, edited, and finalized by the Indian Abbot Jinamitra, Śīlendrabodhi, Dānaśīla, and the reviser Bandaye Shede, and others. The "Analysis of the Five Aggregates," by Wisdom.
