Homage to the Supreme! Rarity means that Bodhisattvas, unattached to existence and enjoyment, disregard body and life, and continuously engage in the accumulation of Bodhi. Therefore, even they must attain Buddhahood through countless eons, hence it is rare. Therefore, the appearance of a Buddha is like the blooming of a Udumbara flower, and is called rare. Because it depends on the appearance of the Buddha, the Dharma and Sangha Jewels are also rare. Preciousness means that those who have attained the state of fulfilling all desires can only attain it through the accumulation of both merit and wisdom. Among them, the accumulation of merit is the three: generosity, discipline, and patience perfections. The accumulation of wisdom is wisdom and meditation perfections. Diligence perfection, because it becomes an element of the accumulation of merit and wisdom, belongs to both accumulations. The Dharma Jewel is precious because it can only be attained by completely abandoning all conditioned phenomena. The Sangha Jewel is precious because it surpasses the results of samsara and can only be attained through the accumulation of both merit and wisdom. The Three Jewels are joyful because seeing, hearing, and remembering them bring joy, therefore they are the cause of joy, and therefore they are joyful. In this way, welcoming, serving, diligence, and complete understanding all benefit sentient beings, therefore they are benefactors. As it is said: "By welcoming you, one gains glory; by serving you, one gains happiness; by diligently seeking, one gains wisdom; by completely understanding, one purifies." It is like expressing it in this way. Pacifying harmful actions by non-humans and others is as stated in the sutra: "Monks, even if you dwell in a solitary place," up to "fear, shame, or disturbance" that occurs will be pacified, as it is extensively explained. Similarly, it should be said for remembering the Dharma Jewel and remembering the Sangha Jewel as well. Among them, there is no attachment to all knowable things,

The one who has transformed his state by attaining the power of unobstructed omniscience is the Buddha. He is the seed of all dharmas with defilements, and the seed of all undefiled dharmas without defilements grows. Because he is completely held by infinite power and strength, he spontaneously accomplishes like a wish-fulfilling jewel, and engages in the work of benefiting all sentient beings without exception. Dharma is of three kinds: the Dharma of teaching, such as the Sutra Pitaka and so on; the Dharma of discipline, such as the Vinaya Pitaka and so on; the Dharma of realization, such as the Noble Eightfold Path with its retinue; and the ultimate Dharma, which is Nirvana. Nirvana is also of two kinds: Nirvana with remainder and Nirvana without remainder. Among them, the so-called freedom from afflictions refers to Nirvana with remainder. The cessation of the present birth and the non-arising of future births refers to Nirvana without remainder. The Sangha is the eight types of individuals, namely the four who have entered the path and the four who abide in the fruit. Because they do not separate from each other and because the teacher does not separate, they are the Sangha. Because all qualities and faults have reached their peak, and because it is the ultimate place of abandonment, it is the abiding one. For the Bhagavan Buddha, the characteristic of purity, represented by the bristling of hairs and the flowing of tears, is faith. Because it is the nature of pacifying all suffering with its causes, and because it is able to obtain and reveal, the characteristic of purity towards the Dharma is faith. Because of crossing over the mire of samsara and abiding on the path of crossing over the mire of samsara, the nature of purity towards the Sangha is faith. Faith transforms into three aspects: the aspect of believing in an existing object, whether it has qualities or not; the aspect of purity towards an existing object with qualities; and the aspect of desire towards an existing object with qualities that can be obtained or produced. In this way, since it is the aspect of desire, will it not become attachment or any kind of desire? It is not so, because virtue is the object of focus, so it is not attachment. Desire is preceded by faith, so it is not desire. The so-called joy of mind, faith is incompatible with the turbidity of the mind, therefore, if it is associated with it, it is with afflictions and near afflictions.
