No. Whatever object is contemplated, such as objects of seeing and hearing, is contemplation. To desire seeing, hearing, etc., is aspiration, which is the basis for initiating diligence and has this function. Faith is to hold onto a determined object as it is, with certainty. Specifically mentioning "certainty" is to negate uncertainty. Whatever is without doubt regarding an object of reason or credible teachings is certainty. To place the mind on that object with the very aspect that determines it, such as impermanence and suffering, and to determine that "this is the nature of suchness and not otherwise," is faith. It has the function of being unshakeable, and cherishing faith means that opposing parties cannot take away one's own established tenets. Mindfulness is not forgetting a familiar object, which is the mind's manifestation. A familiar object is a past experience. Not forgetting is the cause that prevents the grasping of the object from being wasted. Repeatedly remembering the aspect of focusing on a previously grasped object is manifestation, and manifestation alone is manifestation itself. It has the function of non-distraction, because if there is manifestation of the object, the mind is not distracted to another object or aspect, hence it has the function of non-distraction. Samadhi is the one-pointedness of mind on an object of investigation. The object of investigation is either a quality or something to be determined. One-pointedness is the singularity of the object. If the mind is placed in equipoise, it serves as the basis for knowledge in order to fully understand things as they are. Intelligence is wisdom. It is also the thorough differentiation of the object of investigation itself, that is, what is produced by reason and unreason, as well as other things. Because it differentiates, it is thorough differentiation, such as individually understanding whether phenomena like mixed self-characteristics and general characteristics are correct or incorrect. Reason is genuine, that is, credible teachings, subsequent inference, and direct perception. Whatever is produced by these three types of reason is produced by reason. It is also hearing.

Arising from hearing, arising from thinking, and arising from meditation. Among them, that which is realized by the trustworthy scriptural authority is that which arises from hearing. That which arises from thinking with definite reasoning is that which arises from thinking. That which arises from samadhi is that which arises from meditation. Non-reasoning refers to untrustworthy scriptures, as well as what appears to be inference, and the samadhi of wrong thinking. That which is produced by non-reasoning is produced by non-reasoning. Obtaining birth and knowing worldly terms are neither produced by reasoning nor produced by non-reasoning. This is the function of dispelling doubt, dispelling doubt is in order to thoroughly distinguish all phenomena with wisdom, thereby obtaining certainty. These five dharmas arise as mutually distinct. Therefore, wherever there is fondness, others will not necessarily not arise, and the same should be said for all. The specific determinations have all been explained. Now after that, it is necessary to speak of the virtuous qualities that are shown, therefore: Faith and shame, having embarrassment, non-attachment and the like, three diligences, extreme pliancy and carefulness, and non-harming, are called virtuous. It has been said, these are eleven dharmas, which is the remainder of the words. Among them, faith is manifestly believing in karma and having results, the existence of the Three Jewels, qualities, and abilities, and the mind and

It's okay not to do it. A transgression is the fear of shrinking the mind, which is knowing shame. This is the function of relying on the proper restraint of wrongdoing. Having shame is, in terms of the world, being afraid of transgressions. In the world, this is blame. If I know that I have such actions, I will be blamed. Because of fearing these (including non-verse blame), I am afraid of transgressions. This is also the function of relying on the proper restraint of wrongdoing. Non-attachment is the antidote to attachment. Attachment is the complete attachment and desire for existence and the things of existence. Its antidote is non-attachment, which is not being attached to or inclined towards existence and the things of existence. This is the function of relying on not engaging in wrongdoing. Non-hatred is the antidote to hatred. Hatred is the resentment towards sentient beings, suffering, and the dharmas that are the cause of suffering. Non-hatred is the antidote to hatred, so there is no resentment towards sentient beings, suffering, and the dharmas that are the cause of suffering. This is also the function of relying on not engaging in wrongdoing. Non-ignorance is the antidote to ignorance, which is to understand correctly as it is. Ignorance is not knowing karma and its results, the truth, and the Three Jewels. Non-ignorance is the antidote to ignorance, so non-ignorance is to correctly understand karma and its results, the truth, and the Three Jewels. This is also the function of relying on not engaging in wrongdoing. Diligence is the antidote to laziness, which is to rejoice in virtue, but not in afflictions. Rejoicing in afflictions is laziness itself. This is the function of completely perfecting and accomplishing the side of virtue. Pliancy is the antidote to unwieldiness, which is the ability of body and mind. Unwieldiness is the inability of body and mind, and the seeds of all afflicted dharmas. If these are absent, there will be pliancy.
