It is for the sake of recognizing things as one, because the actions, food, and antidotes of the two dharmas are the same. For example, the arising of the five obscurations, etc. Some are to accurately show the meaning of completely understanding each of the five things, as it is said or from other aspects, whichever is reasonable. Such things are the necessity of stating the number. The Buddhas travel and depart, and it should be known by seven reasons: to subdue beings who dwell in other places; to make beings who dwell there yearn; to abandon the shravakas staying in one place for too long; to accurately show that they do not have attachment to that place; to make places become stupas; to make many sentient beings generate merit through seeing and going to such places; to completely pacify calamities such as epidemic diseases and droughts. The summarized verses are: To subdue other places, to make those who dwell there practice, to make many shravakas dwell, to show not having attachment, to make places become supreme stupas, for the merit of sentient beings, to pacify epidemic diseases, etc., the Buddhas travel and depart. The travels of the shravakas should be known by fifteen reasons: as the Bhagavan said, there are five faults, namely, if one stays for too long, there will be many things to do, many implements and many necessities, one will be stingy and attached to the dwelling, one will be stingy and attached to the family, and one will leave that place as if with attachment, to show these five faults; similarly, for not possessing Dharma robes, etc.; for being harmed by displeasure; for being tormented by illness; for being tormented by desire; for being harmed in body and mind by what is done by humans and non-humans; for wanting to obtain gains, etc.; for liking others; for being compassionate to others; for being called a lama; for places, etc.

For the purpose of watching performances, for the purpose of especially practicing virtue, for the purpose of confessing transgressions, for the purpose of honoring the Three Jewels, and for the purpose of prostrating to stupas. The summarized verses are: Not possessing five faults, For the sake of displeasure, sickness, and harm, For the sake of craving and delight in gain, etc., For the sake of affection for the guru and honorifics, and for the purpose of watching performances and especially practicing, For the purpose of drinking and honoring the Three Jewels, For the purpose of prostrating to stupas, A monk goes wandering for alms. The Blessed One abiding in perfect stillness for two and a half months was for the purpose of making the hearers thirsty. Here it says: "Thus, I am the compassionate one, Even towards minor dharmas, I have no miserliness, There is no concealment and no inability, I am not of the nature of suffering. My teachings have not declined, Nor do I expect anything from you, Because the Vinaya cannot know my intention, And there is no respect. Therefore, it should not be taught, For the sake of knowing and making thirsty, For the duration of two and a half months, The Blessed One abides in perfect stillness within." As it is said. Merit, wisdom, wealth, protection, Joy and seeking wages, Knowing and repaying kindness, the place of offering, Love for that, others, and both, Fear and the two performances, For the sake of following others, With fifteen reasons, It is thought that it has passed. It should be understood as appropriate. The first chapter of "The Reason of Detailed Explanation" is complete. The second volume. From here on, in order to make others skilled in explaining the meaning of words, many sections of the sutras should be shown, mostly for the purpose of explaining the meaning of words. Starting from the praise of the Buddha, like this, "The Blessed One is..." and so on, extensively, and "At that time, together with the gods..." and so on, extensively, and "Subduing the unsubdued..." and so on, extensively, and "The Tathagata is the knower of the path, the one who has realized the path..." and so on, extensively, these are the four sections of the sutras. Among them, the concise meaning of the words appearing from the first section of the sutra is: After destroying the obstacles, where the teacher is perfect, by whom, how did he go, etc.
