After showing the difference of liberation from afflictions, the difference of liberation from the obscurations of knowledge is that, at that time, I know that I have manifestly awakened to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete, and right enlightenment, because it is known through understanding in the mind. From the third part of the Sutra Pitaka, taming is because it emphasizes abandoning afflictions. Pacifying is because it emphasizes dwelling in the bliss of peaceful meditative absorption. Because it possesses these two, it is said in other Sutras that (the Buddha's) mind is more tamed than other Sutras, and possesses the most supreme peace. Exhaling is because it emphasizes complete transcendence from the lower realms. Complete nirvana is because it emphasizes complete transcendence from rebirth. In short, what is shown is the emphasis on taming and the benefits of taming; taming is abandoning afflictions, and the benefits of taming are dwelling in the bliss of peace in this life, and not being born in the lower realms and rebirth in the next life. Furthermore, in order: In order to completely and entirely liberate from afflictions and suffering, non-Buddhists cannot completely or entirely liberate. Furthermore, in order to emphasize the taming of body, speech, and mind, as well as meditation, true seeing, and cessation, therefore it is taming, etc., as stated in the Sutra of Increasing Intelligence. Among them, meditation should be understood as starting from dwelling in awareness up to the four dhyanas, because it includes combination and the intermediate. It is said in the scriptures that taming is because it emphasizes the complete purity of discipline through taming the senses. Pacifying is because it emphasizes the complete purity of samadhi. Exhaling is because it emphasizes both exhaling through the complete purity of wisdom and the most supreme exhaling. Complete nirvana is because it emphasizes both becoming cool and becoming most supremely cool through it. In short, this shows that it emphasizes the complete perfection of the three trainings with causes and conditions.

It is the teaching. In the fourth section of the Sutra Division, in summary, with the first, second, and third words, the Blessed One fully revealed the perfection of his own benefit and the perfection of the accomplishment of others' benefit. Among them, knowing the path, understanding the path, is because of knowing both the path and the non-path. Showing the path, speaking the path, is because of truly and completely showing both the path and the non-path. Furthermore, by the arising and cessation of the aggregates of decay, the two proofs are fully known, understood, and truly and completely shown, in due order. Guiding into the path is because those who see the path go from higher to higher on the path, thereby leading to the ultimate end of the path. Furthermore, because of knowing the path, it is knowing the path. Because one understands the path oneself, it is understanding the path. Because one shows the path to those whose minds are fully matured, it is showing the path. Because it is the reason and manner of speaking the path, it is speaking the path. Guiding into the path is because, for those whose minds are not fully matured, the wisdom that fully matures liberation is fully matured. Furthermore, knowing the path is because of knowing it. Understanding the path is because of attaining it, because understanding means obtaining. Showing the path is for beings at that time. Speaking the path is for beings at other times. Guiding into the path is to eliminate the obstacles to reaching from then on. If one starts from praising the Dharma, then the Dharma of the Blessed One is well-spoken and truly seen, and so on. The Dharma and Vinaya well-spoken by the Blessed One are well-taught, and so on. Monks, my Dharma is well-spoken, clear, and vast, and so on. These are the third sections of the Sutra Division. Among them, the abbreviated meaning appearing in the first section of the Sutra Division fully shows the difference between the Dharma of Buddhism and the Dharma of non-Buddhists. Therefore, because it is spoken truly and correctly, it is well-spoken. Because the meaning is seen, it is truly seen, and not just belief.
