Like a small bird, a wise person should not bind their own body and die. Therefore, thinking that dying bound by the body like a bee is not what should be done. In order to increase one's own wisdom, one should respectfully listen to the Dharma. Sentient beings falling into the abyss, the blind being bound, the poor, those afflicted by disease and without relatives, those who have been walking in the wilderness for a long time, the many enemies, Those who are destroyed by many things. Apart from the Buddha, there is no one to protect them, so listen to his teachings. Among them, falling into the abyss refers to the obvious tendency to fall into the lower realms. The blind refers to being blinded by ignorance. Being bound refers to being bound by the bonds of existence. Poverty refers to being separated from the seven noble riches. The tenth volume, which is the last. Being afflicted by disease refers to being afflicted by the aggregates of appropriation, which are like the fruit of disease. Having no relatives refers to having no protector. Walking in the wilderness for a long time refers to walking on the path of samsara for a long time. The many enemies are the afflictions and the near afflictions, and the karma arising from them. The many things are the three sufferings, and sorrow and so on, cold and heat, hunger and thirst, harm and bondage, beatings and sickness, old age and death, and so on. Being destroyed by many things refers to a long time. Therefore, listening to the Buddha's teachings, and establishing it, is protection for sentient beings who have become such, so one should respectfully strive to listen to the Buddha's teachings. Respectfully striving will make virtuous actions powerful. Therefore, it is said that through ten causes, virtuous actions will have power. Which ten? Relying on oneself, because relying on discipline, listening, and few desires, etc., to completely subdue. First, from the very beginning, because of the cause of initiating from the very beginning, wanting to do it, so having a great mind. Diligence is fierce, because when doing it, one diligently strives respectfully, and strives again and again, that is, constantly strives. The field itself, because

There are four aspects: fleeing and suffering, benefiting, and virtues that are particularly excellent. The basis is due to the difference of many things and abundance, and the difference of abandoning killing and taking what is not given, and the difference of giving, discipline, and meditation. The action itself is due to the difference of benefiting others. The conclusion itself is due to the increase of universal thoughts that arise from the joy of doing it. The retinue is due to making others truly believe and praise, and the joy of seeing those who are in accordance with the Dharma. The dedication itself is for dedicating to Nirvana and the unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. The summarized verses are: Relying on and initially completely arising, being fierce and repeatedly diligent, field and basis and action, conclusion and retinue, and completely dedicating, one desires virtue to be powerful. For non-virtue, one should also apply the same accordingly. The great sage who has not seen the place, having heard this well-spoken word in the past, the sage bought wealth. The herdsman's garment has no wool on the edge, like being bound without anything, one must examine and contemplate and keep it in mind. The capable one spoke well in verses, even half a verse was obtained with the price of one's own body. If one obtains it with a great price, but still does not understand it, those should not be given away for free either. This well-endowed one, who seeks the good Dharma like water, is the one who knows the superior and seeks the superior, the superior and the non-superior. Having thoroughly distinguished its essence, he bought the well-spoken words with the price of his own life. If there is life, and one obtains longevity without being eaten by demons, that too will mostly be spent in vain. Well-spoken words in the world appear occasionally like the Udumbara flower. Just as when the sun rises, the lotus fully matures and opens. Just as when the Tathagata rises, the intention fully matures and becomes pure. The root of the cause of the intention fully maturing is also listening to the holy Dharma. Therefore
