Regarding the complete holding of virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas, the Buddha and his retinue are on one side, and the Mara is on the other, in due order. Examples include light and darkness, purgatives and faults, vajras and mountains, lions and herds of deer, and so on. Even if virtue and non-virtue are on the same ground, it should be known that non-virtue is more powerful due to the initial three differences. This is because non-virtue overwhelms everything and can also bring forth other powerful virtues. The summarizing verses are: Actions are similar and complete, the ground is the same, but the fruits are twofold. Decay and youth can destroy, the difference lies in abandonment and direction. The Buddha's words are medicine, accomplished and constant, able to destroy all diseases, non-dual and distinct, good to obtain, good to rely on, difficult to accomplish. If the disease is cured, do not rely on it for too long. The ignorant can be taught, but if someone does not desire it, because they are the enemy of doing good, it should be known that they are incurable. Therefore, if it has become incurable, do not think it is hopeless, but strive to rely on the Buddha's words. Among the noble ones, there are two people who should be blamed: those who do not listen to the holy Dharma, and those who listen but fail to obtain any benefit. Regarding this, not focusing on the meaning, a distracted mind, drowsiness and sleep are all not listening. Regarding benefits, it is confused wisdom, greed for gain, etc., harboring hatred and not relying on it. Therefore, if one has become unable to listen, do not think it is hopeless; if one has become unable to rely on benefits, do not think it is hopeless, but strive to eliminate the faults as previously stated. The sacred word and the ear, as well as desire and wisdom, without obstacles, these five, why are they difficult to obtain? Therefore, one should listen to the words of the Able One. Although the holy Dharma has been obtained, and one is endowed with faith, those with shallow wisdom are like hungry ghosts with throats as thin as needles, unable to drink. Therefore, as long as the five can be obtained and one can drink, one should strive to listen to the holy Dharma. Because one has not practiced the profound Dharma, the words of the Able One are difficult to obtain. Without it, there is no liberation. Those who desire liberation should therefore listen with respect.

Practice! In this way, by relying on this method, one can quickly escape suffering without fault. It is certain that one can easily obtain inexhaustible fruits. There is no other method, and no practitioner, for anything, If one does not do it, there is no happiness, so it should be done. The Buddha's teachings are the fruit, Possessing meaning and words, At the time of hearing and thinking, And also during meditation, one should remember. Opening wisdom, possessing excellent definitive words, The Buddha's teachings possess two qualities, Possessing meaning and being appropriate, Possessing benefit and ultimate fruit. Because this is the source of accomplishing all meanings. The method is easy and extremely rare, Therefore, in order to accomplish, seek meaning, even if it costs your life, With faith, one should rely on this. Ignorance and Doubt, Wrong views are reversed, The truths are realized, This is the merit of listening to the Dharma. There are five benefits of listening to the Dharma, what are they? They are all contained in these four, using two to dispel ignorance. The mind is like a lotus of sentient beings, Obstructing the excellent Dharma with strength, Therefore, if you find the taste of meaning, You will remain unwavering in it. Therefore, one should also use strength to obstruct listening to the excellent Dharma. Why? Because the Dharma is always beneficial and happy, Extremely difficult to obtain, Can be accomplished without difficulty, Because Dharma and life are connected, It needs to be practiced repeatedly, Because it is the only union. In short, the practice of a Bodhisattva, One should reduce attachment and increase virtue, Therefore, one should reduce attachment to oneself, Increase goodwill towards other beings. In order to abandon afflictions and the peace of suffering, Because these two cannot attain enlightenment. Wisdom and compassion are the cause of decrease and increase, Therefore, the root of enlightenment is said to be two. The cause of increasing them is the Dharma of the Tathagata, Apart from this, there is nothing else. Therefore, in any case, you must let this Dharma, Become fruitful, strive like that! Just as bees are bound by the silk of nectar, those who are bound by that bond, The reason is not strength, but they themselves are weak, similarly, the inferior ones, Completely grasped, possessing clinging bonds, are born from their own weakness. Therefore, bees
