It also enables one to reach the right state. Similarly, relying on the teaching of the sacred Dharma, one can completely abandon evil paths such as wrong views, and also abide in good paths such as right views. It can liberate one from the wilderness of samsara, allow one to jump out of the lower realms and go to happiness, and also reach the state of Nirvana that transcends desire and suffering. These all come from listening, not from not listening, so one should listen with reverence. Those who have accumulated merit will have great merit by listening a little. For example, a Brahmin who was taught to be ordained by the venerable Shariputra heard that there were twelve kinds of suffering for those who were ordained and broke the precepts, so he hid and listened, and avoided the act of turning to immoral conduct. The twelve sufferings are: the suffering of being tormented by afflictions, the suffering of searching everywhere, the suffering of harm, the suffering of being impoverished by desire, the suffering of doubt, the suffering of being talked about, the suffering of being completely abandoned, the suffering of being without respect, the suffering of being reviled, the suffering of being tormented in the mind, the suffering of ripening in the lower realms in the next life, and even in the happy realms, the suffering of the same cause of being difficult to practice celibacy because of the many afflictions. One who wants to jump into the fire should look at the frog that is about to jump into the burning pit. After hearing the rebuke, "Do you want to jump into the burning fire?", he turned back. When Dharma delight became a crocodile, he heard only the sound of the Buddha, and because he was accustomed to prostrating before, he closed his mouth and remained silent. Therefore, even if one hears a little, those who have accumulated merit will increase their virtue, so one should strive to listen to the Buddha's teachings. The man who was turned into a donkey by a sorcerer listened to the words of the woman who knew about it, and because he wanted her medicine, he ate all the grass. Those who wash dust abandon all sources for the sake of gold.

It acts. Similarly, if one desires the Dharma of liberation, one should listen to the Dharma that leads to liberation, thinking that that Dharma arises from listening to all the sacred Dharmas. The experience and pervasiveness of suffering, as well as permanence and helplessness, and the many harms and destroyers, there is no disease like the body. This fully shows that the disease of the body has six faults, namely, being associated with suffering, pervading the entire body, entering without interruption, being incurable, bringing many harms, and taking life. The best of physicians can completely remove this disease, and the medicine they speak of is a collection of substances with eight branches. This is an extra gain, which can be obtained even without spending money. If one does not strive, one will never be able to achieve it. Just as one cannot absorb the essence without removing the obstacles, similarly, the path will not abide in an untamed mind. This is also obtained from listening to the sacred Dharma without spending money, and not from other sources. Therefore, one should respectfully listen to the Buddha's teachings. Through three causes, external things become objects of hearing, through abandonment, such as beeswax and dry bark, etc. Through heating, such as iron and copper, etc. Through beating, such as munja grass and balavaja, etc. Similarly, hatred, carelessness, and ignorance, as well as faith, renunciation, and realization, become the three causes of the object of hearing. So, where does this come from? If the fortunate ones listen, it will arise from determining merit, fault, and meaning. What merit or what fault is heard? It is the merit of the Three Jewels, the fault is sin, desire, and existence with dependence. Those are sins and desires, and existence. Through what meaning is certainty obtained? Two natures, namely cause and effect, are certainly related. The two natures refer to the individual nature and the general nature of the aggregates, etc. The nature related to cause and effect refers to ignorance and action, etc., as well as suffering and origin, etc. Therefore, these merits
