Also, conceptualizing in a way that is not in accordance with reality, some supports that demonstrate the concordant cause of the wisdom of the noble ones are in accordance with purification, because their basis exists in the nature of being inexpressible. For example, if people hear about the bodies and abodes of those who practice in the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm, as well as their samādhis and samāpattis, or the liberation that is beyond the world, and then speculate about them, are those speculations truly conceptualizing in accordance with reality? However, is that speculation not in accordance with the fact that those who strive for it will attain it? Similarly, when ordinary individuals conceptualize phenomena with modes such as non-conceptualization, they are not conceptualizing in accordance with reality, because in the Sutra of the Net of Illusion, the Bhagavan said that the noble ones who are beyond the world are true. That conceptualization is also not discordant, because it is for the sake of attaining the realization of phenomena as they are in reality. Furthermore, in the Mahāyāna, it says: Non-true thought is not true, Non-true non-true is not non-thought, Non-thought not non-thought is not non-existence, All knowable things are shown to be. This verse has also been taught. In that, non-true thought refers to whatever is not in accordance with liberation. Non-true non-true is not non-thought refers to what is in accordance with liberation with outflows, because the nature of being inexpressible is non-conceptual, and it is in accordance with thought. Non-thought refers to the path beyond the world and the suchness of phenomena, that is, the selflessness of persons and phenomena, because there is no nature of conceptual elaboration. Non-thought not non-thought is not non-existence refers to the pure worldly wisdom that the noble ones obtain from the aftermath of being beyond the world, because it is an object that is in accordance with reality, and because it establishes the characteristics of phenomena. If one can abandon afflictions even without teaching the selflessness of phenomena, then why is the selflessness of phenomena taught to bodhisattvas? It is in order to completely not be weary of saṃsāra and to be completely without afflictions, and to abandon all obscurations of knowledge.

Those who are accustomed to the practice of believing in the absence of self in phenomena, if they practice diligently, will not be weary even after a long time in samsara, and will not be completely defiled by afflictions. In this way, they will attain the samadhi of the mind that is peaceful and free from all characteristics. Moreover, having accumulated a great collection of merit and wisdom, and having fully meditated on the dharani of limitless hearing, and having accomplished the ultimate perfection of the peaceful samadhi, which is the single taste of non-conceptual wisdom, without any manifestation of activity, for all those who possess the essence of thousands of inexhaustible doors of samadhi, then, following the vajra-like samadhi, by abandoning all afflictions and obscurations of knowledge, one will attain the omniscience of all phenomena. Otherwise, like the Shravakas, one would think that whatever is impermanent is suffering, and whatever is suffering is without self. By being accustomed to the practice of focusing solely on the aspect of the absence of self in the person, the mindstream is more likely to generate a great deal of aversion to samsara, and one would only regard nirvana as peace, abandoning compassion for sentient beings, and quickly realize the cessation of the person. Because the mindstream is tormented by the perception of the characteristics of phenomena, even if one engages in practice for a long time, one will not be able to attain the mastery of wisdom over all knowable objects through its ultimate perfection. In this way, one will not attain the peaceful samadhi of the mind, which is the lineage of the Tathagata's samadhi. Here it is also said: The conceptual thoughts of examined phenomena, without abandoning all knowable objects, do not possess omniscience, therefore, the absence of self in phenomena is taught. When Bodhisattvas attain liberation, is it because they know the absence of self in phenomena that they are liberated? Or is it because they know the absence of self in the person? The answer is: they are liberated because they know the absence of self in phenomena. Why is it that in the Shravaka vehicle, in sutras such as the "Many Elements Sutra" and the "Arhat Sutra," the methods of liberation for the Buddhas and the Shravakas are described as being the same? If liberation is described as being the same, then the method of liberation should also be described as being the same. The liberation of the Buddhas is different, because they have abandoned the obscurations of affliction.
