It is like saying that it has become the power of so-and-so. As a basis, mindfulness is the basis of immortality, and unmindfulness is the basis of death, as it is said. For truths, it is like saying that the basis of learning is seen. Regarding the aspect of the feet, the Brahmin Brevo and the bones are the same, so at the place where the Blessed One walked, the wheels on his feet were seen, as it is said. Regarding traces: Like the traces of birds in the sky, those are difficult to understand. It is like saying this. Regarding words, it is like saying that even if one knows the meaning of a well-spoken word. Dharma is what is to be known, the path, nirvana and the realm of mind, merit, life and scriptures, what will happen, certainty and jurisprudence. The so-called sound of Dharma, for Dharma, whether conditioned or unconditioned, the most excellent of those is said to be freedom from attachment, as it is said. Regarding the path, monks, wrong view is not Dharma, but right view is Dharma, as it is extensively said. Regarding nirvana, it is like saying that one has taken refuge in the Dharma. Regarding the realm of mind, it is like saying the birthplace of Dharma, that is only the realm of mind, only the realm and not the support. Regarding merit, it is like extensively saying that one practices Dharma together with the retinue of consorts and young women. Regarding this life, it is like saying that one will experience it in the visible Dharma, and children cherish the visible Dharma. Regarding the scriptures, for this monk, knowing the Dharma is like this, the Sutra Pitaka and the sections narrated in verse, etc., as it is extensively said. Regarding what will happen, conditioned things are its Dharma, as it is said, just like this, this body is the Dharma of aging, as it is said. Regarding certainty, it is like saying the four Dharmas of monks, similarly, monks, killing is not Dharma, and abandoning killing is Dharma, as it is extensively said. Regarding jurisprudence, it is like saying local customs and caste customs. What is called abandonment is letting go, separation and harm and latent tendencies, removal is abandonment.
