So, this contradicts that. If it is like that, it should be understood according to the literal meaning, and the intention should also be understood, and it should also be explained that the before and after are connected. Likewise, Brahma also acknowledges that the Tathagata explains permanence in terms of categories of intention. He acknowledges that the Tathagata does not exist and does not appear in those teachings, even though he speaks of all defilements, speaks of annihilation, speaks of what should not be done, speaks of those with wrong views, those who do not believe, those who do not understand actions, those who destroy families, those who eat vomit, and those who destroy opportunities, because that is what the Tathagata said according to his intention. With what intention does the Tathagata show the intention to make beings abandon their pride? Brahma, in this way, the Tathagata teaches the Dharma with intention, so Bodhisattvas should not be afraid of all words. If you do not want there to be something that does not conform to the literal meaning in the teachings, this will also contradict. Or, if you want that, then why is the Mahayana made the Dharma for the sake of hearing? Furthermore, Bodhisattvas who possess four characteristics speak with one voice and speak without fear. What are the four? Bodhisattvas speak with one voice that all dharmas are without self. Bodhisattvas speak with one voice that there is no manifest joy in the sources of birth of all births. Bodhisattvas speak with one voice the praise of the Mahayana. Bodhisattvas speak with one voice that virtuous and non-virtuous actions are not in vain. These words that have been spoken in this way also contradict leading people to hold onto nihilistic views. The Holy Vimalakirti Sutra states: Neither existent nor non-existent, all these dharmas arise in dependence on causes, and there is no self or agent in this, nor is there a receiver, and the results of good and non-good actions are not lost in the slightest. Thus, O Blessed One, Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ratnakara

This addition of praise will also become contradictory. It is also said in the Sutra of Universal Appearance: If one clings to the literal meaning, there are five faults. What are the five? They are the fault of becoming an unpleasant place, the fault of seeking decline, the fault of deceiving others, the fault of slandering the teacher, and the fault of abandoning the Dharma, which is indicated by one's own words. Bodhisattvas who are well-purified and understand, if they always examine the literal meaning: Those who are self-satisfied, their minds will decline, they will slander and denigrate the well-spoken words, and they will become angry and obscured by the Dharma. As it is said, this will also become contradictory. It is also said in the Great Vehicle Sutra of the arising of great faith: The Blessed One said, sons of good family, if one distinguishes the dharmas by clinging to the literal meaning in an improper way, it will not become a source of faith in the Great Vehicle. The meaning with intention, if it is not the literal meaning, but is properly attended to, will become a source of faith in the Great Vehicle. Sons of good family, in this way, if Bodhisattvas distinguish the dharmas by clinging to the literal meaning in an improper way, twenty-eight bad views will arise. Namely: the view of clinging to characteristics, the view of clinging to non-views as views, the view of slandering terms, the view of slandering all afflictions, the view of slandering suchness, the view of abandoning union, the view of complete clinging, the view of changing, the non-definitive view, the view of seeing no fault as a view, the view of seeing liberation as a view, the view of obscuration and so on, the view of contempt, the view of disturbance, the view of generating non-merit, the inverted view, my view is the view of no fruit, the view of generation, the view of deception, the view of non-acceptance, the view of malice, the view of punishment, the view of reverence, the view of slander, the view of severe ignorance, the view of no fault, the great view, and the view of manifest arrogance. Sons of good family, for that
