That which is said, "It is seen to arise dependent on form," is also so. Now, those who have not separated from desire for form, it is seen that the body manifestly arises together with form. Those who have separated from desire for form, since the body manifestly arises as formless, that inference is not reasonable. Or, should it not be admitted that one is separated from desire for form? Or, should it be admitted that even for those separated from desire for form, later only form manifestly arises? That is also not reasonable, because the formless absorptions are very famous in this very place. When refuting desires, one is separated from desire for desires, but when refuting forms, there is no reason to say that one is not separated from forms. For noble beings, even if the manifest arising of aggregates is completely abandoned, it would follow that there is no liberation. It is also contradictory to inference to say that if one always relies on the basis of meritorious action arising from generosity, then great enjoyment will be accomplished. For misers are also rich, and givers are also poor. What contradiction is there here in saying that? Some misers, because they once offered to a special vessel, have obtained wealth. Some givers, because others lack enjoyment, have not obtained wealth. Therefore, in producing results, one should examine the strength and weakness of those actions. It is also contradictory to inference to say that there is a person who has abandoned the connection of birth but has not abandoned the connection of manifest arising. That which is said, that is because the gods do not understand the meaning of abandonment. Here, the meaning is that there is no person who is not separated from desire from the existence of birth, but is not from the intermediate state of existence. It is indeed so, here the meaning is that some non-returners, in order to directly realize the exhaustion of defilements of only the intermediate state of existence

For those whose faculties are mature and whose realization is swift, the afflictions that connect in the realm of birth are non-arising, while those that connect in the intermediate state are arising, because that abides in the nature of non-arising, therefore the realm of birth is called abandoned, but the pervasive afflictions that manifest are not, that is the meaning. Thus, there is no contradiction. Others say that the term 'abandoned' refers to having attained non-discriminating cessation. Furthermore, it is said here: 'In the intermediate state, what pervasive connections are exhausted, connecting in the realm of birth, its non-discriminating cessation ceases, therefore its, that is called abandoned. The discriminating cessation of both, is considered to be simultaneous.' The statement that drinking alcohol is included in transgressions contradicts the scriptures, because it is said that it is a physical misdeed. Regarding what has been said, this should be analyzed: to what extent is it a transgression by nature, or a transgression included in transgressions? Whatever is practiced solely with an afflicted mind is a transgression by nature. Whatever can also be practiced with a non-afflicted mind, but is prohibited by the Blessed One in order to abandon other faults, is a transgression included in transgressions. Now, this should be analyzed: is it possible that, even unwillingly, one might drink certain alcohol with a non-afflicted mind, having discerned it according to medical advice? Or not? If it is possible, how can a non-afflicted mind be considered a misdeed? If it is not possible, how can drinking in that way be considered an afflicted mind? Therefore, if one recognizes it as alcohol and drinks it shamelessly, is that drinking with transgression? Or does one think that alcohol with transgression is without transgression? If one drinks in moderation and cannot become intoxicated, and also knows this and drinks, then how does that drinking become a transgression?

For example, if poison is taken in moderation, there will be no fault because the poison cannot cause harm. Therefore, not all drinking is a faulty action. Most drinkers, in order to fatten their bodies, think, "How can I be happy?" or think, "I will get drunk," and then drink. These actions are considered bodily misconduct because they are afflicted minds. It should be recognized that the intention here refers to this. This is also a natural transgression; even without prohibition, it is still a fault. Chapter Three of the Explanation of Reasoning. Because it contradicts the teachings of the famous Buddha, the Mahayana is not the teaching of the Buddha. Therefore, the statement that "the extremely vast category is the Mahayana" contradicts the scriptures. If the Mahayana is not the teaching of the Buddha because it contradicts this nature, then any famous teaching of the Buddha would similarly not be the teaching of the Buddha for you. Why? Because there is contradiction. Among them, in some places it is said that there are three kinds of feelings: pleasant feeling, painful feeling, and neither pleasant nor painful feeling. Similarly, when feeling a pleasant feeling, one truly knows that one is feeling a pleasant feeling. It is also said that whatever is felt is suffering. Similarly, pleasant feeling should be regarded as the nature of suffering. Similarly, perceiving suffering as happiness is inverted. In some places it is said that all phenomena are without self. Similarly, "Here there is no self or sentient being; this dharma arises from causes and conditions." And "The twelve links of existence, the aggregates, the sources, the elements, if all these are separated, the person cannot be designated." It is also said, "Oneself is one's own protector; who else can be a protector? By well taming oneself, the wise attain higher realms."
