Yes. If asked why it is not the Buddha's teaching? Because it is contradictory. Because this contradicts the Buddha's teaching that is recognized by all schools. For example, from that it is said that all dharmas are without self-nature, unborn and unceasing, all dharmas are peaceful from the beginning, completely extinguished by nature, and so on. Similarly, Subhuti, form is without substance. Subhuti, even up to Bodhi, there is no substance, and so on. But in the Buddha's teaching recognized by all schools, what is ignorance said by the Blessed One? It refers to not understanding that and the previous limit, etc., extensively explaining, and even between old age and death, the self-nature of dharmas is also shown. This exists, therefore that arises, this arises, therefore that arises. Eye consciousness arises dependent on the eye and form. All these formations are past, exhausted, ceased, dispersed, and completely transformed. (Verse) Alas, formations are impermanent, they are of the nature of arising and ceasing. Having arisen, they cease, their cessation is bliss. Monks, see it this way, formations are suffering, Nirvana is peace. And, suffering arises from the arising of causes, suffering ceases from the cessation of causes. With cause, one goes to the happy realms, with cause itself, one goes to the evil realms, with cause, one attains Nirvana, all this arises from cause. (End of verse) Similarly, form is impermanent, is suffering, is of the nature of change, and so on. Whatever the wise in the world consider to exist, I also say it exists, and so on, like this, birth and so on are also shown. Therefore, because it contradicts the widely known Buddha's teaching, the Mahayana is not the Buddha's teaching. Therefore, saying that the extremely vast category is the Mahayana contradicts the scriptures. The way of refutation is like this. To this, temporarily saying that this argument should not be used in the past tense as it is now, the answer to this is: the argument is like it is now, it happens in many senses, such as not grasping and approaching.

Abilities and continuity, as well as, that and the nature of things, again and again, arise in existence and the fulfillment of desires, etc. For that which is not grasped, it is like saying "hoping to get." For that which is happening now and is near, it is like saying "where does it come from?" For ability, it is like saying "one can grasp by speaking once." For continuity, it is like saying "that is a meat-eater." For having that nature, it is like saying "if you don't guard the horse, it will be eaten by grass." For that nature of things, it is like saying "all who are born will die." For again and again, it is like saying "at night, fertilize the fields." For existence, it is like saying "reeds grow from horns." For desire, it is like saying "who drinks water?" For fulfillment, it is like saying "this Brahmin can recite the four Vedas." Therefore, even if it is past, the combination arising from the Sutra Pitaka, because it is happening now and is near, should be understood as happening now. It is not permissible to speak of mere things as agents, because other actions are impossible. If that is said, then what is this called "thing"? Who is the agent? How is it said to be the agent? That which is called "thing" is action, and that which has autonomy over it is the agent, for example, going is action, and Lhas Byin, who has autonomy over it, is the agent. If it is said that it is spoken of as the agent, like "is going," then how is that thing, from which sprouts arise from seeds, spoken of as the agent? If it is said "is doing," if it is self-illuminating, then that itself is the thing. If it exists and also possesses, then what should be said? How does self-illumination arise, thereby changing the rules? Action and agent are uncertain, and it becomes the fault of self-grasping. Saying "is doing" is not impermanent, nor is it in between. In another place, the shadow also moves. The fire burns and also moves, for this, are these two actions? Or is there some autonomy? If it is said that there is not, the shadow does not move to another place, because its cause remains, only because of the sun's rotation, distance, and proximity.
