If there is any attachment to gain and respect, one will not go to the Noble Eightfold Path of Nirvana. This is said to be the mire of pure conduct by the Bhagavan. Sinful, non-virtuous dharmas are those that are completely afflicted, and so on. If one is overcome by them, one will break the precepts, desire the cause of gain and respect in the lower realms, and become greedy, and so on. This shows that for newly ordained monks who are attached to gaining and honoring, there are three faults: abandoning the learning in this life, not going to Nirvana, and going to the lower realms in the next life. Among them, sin is the meaning of being reproached by noble beings. Non-virtue is the meaning of unhappiness. Thus, these are shown to be faults by others and oneself. How is it reproached and unhappy? That is, the completely afflicted one is also the one with existence, with faults, therefore it is true. Because one is repeatedly completely afflicted in this life, one is completely afflicted. Because existence will also be manifested in the next life, one is the one with existence. For those who are completely afflicted, there is a fault, that is, accompanied by plague and the ripening of suffering. Because those who are completely tormented by afflictions torment body and mind, and will go to the lower realms in the next life. For those who have become existent, there is a fault, that is, in the next life they will experience birth, old age, and death, because they will lead to long periods of birth, old age, and death. This is acting according to the teacher's teachings, practicing without abandoning, possessing insight, making the empty home flourish, following one's own benefit, acting equally with Brahma, not being reproached by the wise, and the alms of the country having fruition, which is called a fragment of the Sutra. Among them, in order to practice according to the teachings, it is acting according to the teacher's teachings. Because one practices repeatedly without abandoning, it is practicing without abandoning. Just like this, little by little.

As it is said. As it is heard, in order to thoroughly distinguish the Dharma, one possesses superior insight. In order to make the mind one-pointed, because one rejoices in empty houses, one makes the empty houses flourish. Nirvana is the well-being of one's own benefit of ordination, and for that benefit one ordains. Its means are methods, which are the paths to attain it. To diligently follow it is to exert oneself in such a way that one does not abandon diligence itself, just as one should exert oneself in it. Thus, one diligently follows the means of one's own benefit. Because it is the manifestation of desire itself, the conduct of pure life is not blamed by the wise. Because it brings about its fruit, one eats alms in the village, eating food that has fruit. In short, these seven sentences fully explain the complete accomplishment of the teacher, the teachings, those who practice pure conduct, and those who give. For the teacher, it is to practice according to his teachings. For the teachings, it is to always engage in superior activities, to engage without perversion, to engage without distraction, and to engage without contentment. It should be understood that the superior activity of a monk is meditation. Furthermore, it is to meditate constantly, to meditate without being defiled by afflictions, to meditate without interruption, and to meditate without contentment. For those who practice pure conduct, it is to engage in accordance with the meaning. For those who give, it is to make their giving have great fruit. Now, people are attached because of attachment to what is not Dharma, oppressed because of attachment to what is unreasonable, and bound by false Dharma, which is a fragment of the Sutra. Among them, to be attached to enjoying various things because of what is not Dharma is to be attached because of attachment to what is not Dharma, such as engaging in sexual misconduct or gambling because of desire. To be attached because of what is unreasonable is to be attached because of what is unreasonable, such as thieves, power, and deception.
