That which is called 'being free from attachment' means abandoning desire because one is not attached to living and dying. As it is said in the verse: 'Not delighting in death, nor delighting in life.' It is like this. That which is called 'not increasing attachment' means abandoning attachment to desire, form, and formlessness. Another explanation is that, as an antidote to the near afflictions of those with manifest pride, it is fully shown that the Brahmin himself is without manifest pride. One with manifest pride will be displeased when speaking of the profound emptiness and dependent arising, and the reasons that accord with this. Later, they will also regret it, as it is said in the Sutra of the Gods. Craving for the body or meditative absorption always follows the latent tendencies of desire. The impermanence perception with the example of the farmer and so on is a section of the Sutra Pitaka. Here, the example of the farmer fully shows that the impermanence perception is the antidote to latent tendencies. The example of the root of the bālava tree fully shows that it is the antidote to all entanglements, because the non-arising and arising of afflictions are both taken into consideration. The example of the mango grove is that other than that, the desirelessness and signlessness perceptions are what lead to the antidote to latent tendencies. The example of the public resting place is that other than that, all the antidotes to entanglements, such as the perception of ugliness, are held as antidotes, because they will not be completely lost. The example of the elephant's footprint is that these are included within the sphere of activity of the impermanence perception, because impermanence itself is to be made permanent. The example of the flowing rivers is that other than that, all the modes of refutation culminate there, because it is itself the entry into the suffering of formations. The example of the sun and the king of mines is that in the state of non-learning, it becomes the nature of non-forgetfulness in sequence, and it is the mastery over other worldly perceptions. Therefore, how is the impermanence perception

It is also the antidote to everything, because it is the antidote to latent tendencies and pervasive clinging. How is it the root of the antidote, because it attracts other antidotes. How is it superior to other pervasive clinging antidotes, it is also superior by three kinds of distinctions. How is it the unsurpassed antidote, this is also fully shown, because it subdues ignorance and all other knowledge. Speaking with these twenty aspects is a section of the Sutra Pitaka. Among them, "time" means knowing that one wants to listen and is suitable for speaking. Like Katyayani's bamboo staff. "Carefulness" means without contempt, like a lion leaping. "Order" means first doing generosity and so on in time, and starting from true and excellent speech. "Connection" means starting from the detailed explanation of the Sutra Pitaka. "Conformity" means starting from questions and predictions, because predictions are made in the same way for those who are predicted to have one head and so on. What should be rejoiced is for those who have faith. What should be desired is for those who have previously resided and are dissatisfied. Not generating joy and Not slandering refers to who are those who have entered the right path, or those who have entered the wrong path, etc., such as what is held from the Sutra of No Afflictions. If you do this, not clearly knowing the difference of taming, then those who are not vessels of taming will feel sad. Reason is because it does not contradict validity. Association is because of the association between before and after. Not mixed is because it abandons spreading to other talks. Having Dharma is because it is in accordance with virtue. The retinue as it should be is because it is in accordance with the one to be tamed. Loving-kindness is because of wishing the listener happiness. Beneficial mind is because of wishing him no afflictions. Compassionate mind is because of wishing him no suffering. Furthermore, for good and non-good, etc., and for ordinary people, with loving-kindness and so on, that is, according to the order. Gain and respect
