It is due to the difference in time of attaining passing away (Nirvana). Non-Aryas are also because of the seven existences, or because of the once-returner, they are completely liberated from suffering. Complete liberation from suffering in the intermediate state will not change from non-existence to upward transfer, so these are the only seven abodes of the holy person. Liberation from suffering also cuts off all abodes, so it is not an abode. Then, if it is said in the verse: 'The abode of the Arhat is Nirvana.' How should this be explained? That is because it shows that the place of reliance is called an abode. Even if I do not appear, or my future life does not appear, these two ways are because they want to be liberated from suffering, so they correspond to the signless. I will not appear, my body will not appear, this is because it refutes birth in two ways of impermanence, so it corresponds to the wishless. Another situation is that, in order to make the mind fully engaged in liberation from suffering in both cases of wish and certainty, both are only related to the signless. In this way, 'what exists' refers to the aggregates. 'What arises' refers to conditioned phenomena. 'Abandon it' means that because one sees that conditioned phenomena are merely the cessation of impermanence, one attains abandonment and will not panic thinking 'I will not appear'. Liberation from suffering without grasping, some sutras say that this is without the residue of aggregates, for example, the sutra says: 'Through the cause of liberation, one is completely liberated from suffering without grasping.' Some sutras say that this is with the residue of aggregates, for example, the sutra says: 'Alas, monks, peaceful, possessing the unpolluted, free from desire and non-desire, liberated from suffering without grasping, this is very good.' This clearly refers to the absence of the residue of aggregates, because this is to dominate the abode of the next life, and it is said in detail 'not to say to go to the east'. 'Existence is existence' is a fragment of the Sutra Pitaka. In this regard, treat existence with emptiness, existence with non-existence, non-existence with wisdom, and then how...

As they exist. Two know with and without superior. By two, named without characteristics and without aspiration. The order of samadhis such as emptiness is also for this reason. Knowing things that exist and do not exist, one can know that those that exist are with and without superior. Otherwise, it is not. If one knows that what exists is with superior, then the mind does not desire. If it is without superior, then it desires. Furthermore, it is said, because of self-grasping and existence in existence. Therefore, the exhaustion of desire does not desire that. The antidotes to those three are samadhis such as emptiness. One knows existence and non-existence, and two know the faults and virtues of existence. Therefore, there are three, that is, their order, the former does not lead the latter. Thus, the faults and virtues of existence are said to be conditioned and unconditioned, the order is thus. It is said in the scripture: "Non-existence and likewise with faults, likewise with virtuous things, in order to destroy the grasping of existence, the grasping of virtues, and the grasping of non-virtues, the order is thus, samadhis such as emptiness." Seeing well, knowing well, is called a section of the Sutra Pitaka. Among them, seeing well is the teaching, and the rest is the explanation. Among them, knowing well is with the wisdom arising from hearing. Making good intentions is from what arises from thinking. Practicing well is from worldly cultivation, because it has joy. Realizing well is transcendent, for the sake of entering the ultimate truth. Thus, it is seeing well. To generate desire and make effort is called a section of the Sutra Pitaka. In the preliminary practices of non-absorption, it is for the sake of desiring to abandon, and for the sake of completely taking up its means, and for the sake of doing it repeatedly, and for the sake of making it stable, and in the practices of absorption, for the sake of cultivating the antidotes to sinking and agitation, those orders should be known thus. Also, for the sake of desiring to abandon, and for the sake of practicing them, and for the diligent body and mind in that.
