Furthermore, this is said in accordance with the power of the path of seeing. Because the Vinayas are proclaimed under the heading "Manifest Realization of Truth." Among them, those with forbearance towards the Dharma see the Dharma. Because they realize that very truth. Those with knowledge of the Dharma attain the Dharma. Because they directly experience the transformation of their state. Subsequently, those with the forbearance of realization know the Dharma. Because they understand that this is the cause of the noble Dharma. Subsequently, those with the knowledge of realization comprehend the Dharma. Because they perfect the measure of what is to be known. All beings have transcended сомня (somnyā, doubt) in obtaining their own Dharma. All forbearance and knowledge have transcended сомня (somnyā, doubt), because they are obtained through the supramundane path, and therefore have no doubts about obtaining what they have long desired. All beings have transcended сомня (somnyā, doubt) in the attainment of others. At that time, there is no hesitation about others attaining superior qualities. In the path of cultivation, one does not rely on others. Nor does one receive instruction from others, because one is wise oneself. Because non-Buddhists cannot seize it, the teachings of the Teacher are not destroyed by others. Having known and gained faith, other non-Buddhists cannot seize the Teacher's teachings even in future lives. Those who have attained fearlessness in the Dharmas, namely the Dharma of comprehensive questioning and the Dharma of prophecy, are here regarded as Dharma. Because the mind is without cowardice, one attains fearlessness in this. Among what is attained, the Dharmas of comprehensive questioning, the Dharmas of prophecy, the desire to do evil, and the thought of being like those with manifest pride are all absent. What is the path of cultivation? That which is superior to the path of seeing, namely the mundane path, the supramundane path, the small path, the middle path, the great path, the path of application, the path of no interruption, the path of liberation, and the path of distinction. Noble Hearers are endowed with the manifest realization of truths. Superior to that is the one who has entered to abandon the remaining habitual tendencies of all afflictions, namely the mundane path and so forth, which is called the path of cultivation.

It is said. So, what is the worldly path? The worldly meditations are the first dhyana, the second, the third, the fourth dhyana, and the sphere of infinite space, the sphere of infinite consciousness, the sphere of nothingness, the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. These dhyanas and formless absorptions should also be known as all-afflicting, purified, established, and cleansed. How is it all-afflicting? The four roots that are not spoken of are existence, view, pride, and ignorance. These are what cause the mind to become all-afflicted. Through the gate of afflicted meditation, all the afflictions and near afflictions that are practiced in the form and formless realms are obscured, and therefore become unspoken. Among them, craving is all-afflicted by the all-affliction of tasting flavors, because it causes one to taste the bliss of extreme subduing. View is all-afflicted by the meditator who is mainly of views, because it arises from meditation and gives rise to all views such as discrimination of the past extreme. Pride is all-afflicted by the meditator who is mainly of pride, because he becomes arrogant after obtaining distinction. Ignorance is all-afflicted by the meditator who is mainly of doubt, because he thinks that only that is liberation, and doubts whether obtaining that distinction is liberation or not. Thus, for those whose minds are all-afflicted, afflictions and near afflictions that are practiced in the form and formless realms will arise. What is purification? Pure meditation and formless absorptions are called purification because they are virtuous. Worldly people are also free from the defilement of all entanglements. What is establishment? There is the establishment of limbs, the establishment of absorption, the establishment of measure, and the establishment of naming. All these meditations are established as fourfold, that is, they are distinguished by limbs, absorption, measure, and naming. Form
