It is for eating vomit. So, how are these words completely transformed into a supreme meaning? Words like disbelief, etc., are for completely transforming into an Arhat. Among them, disbelief is because one has faith in oneself, having seen the wisdom of liberation. Making food for the eyes is for knowing the unconditioned Nirvana. Destroying the house is for abandoning the cause of connecting to rebirth, which is affliction. The so-called destroying opportunity is because suffering will not manifest in all future rebirths. Eating vomit means that even if the body is maintained by the power of resources in this life, there is no hope for enjoyment and life. What was said? Knowing what is meaningless as meaningful, abiding very much in what is inverted, being completely afflicted by afflictions, one will attain supreme Bodhi. The meaning of this verse should be explained as before. Its body relies on the Samadhi of the Bodhisattva, touching great Bodhi through the two paths of seeing and meditation. It is also said elsewhere that a Bodhisattva who possesses five qualities will perfect the Paramita of giving. What are the five? Increasing the nature of stinginess, being weary of giving, being angry with beggars, sometimes not giving anything, and being far from giving. Increasing the nature of stinginess is because abandoning the latent stinginess along with its imprints causes its suchness to be transformed into manifestation. Being weary of giving is because the cause of giving for a long time is extremely difficult to do, so one promises to do it wearily. Being angry with beggars is because one wants to receive oneself, so one is incompatible with beggars. Sometimes not doing anything is because one always gives all things. Being far from giving is because one completely abandons giving to relatives, etc. It is also said elsewhere that a Bodhisattva who possesses five qualities is a Brahmachari and possesses supreme Brahmacharya, being away from lust and determined away from lust.

Not seeking the place of origin of lust, not being distracted from abandoning lust, accepting the arising lustful attachment, fearing the antidote to lust, and repeatedly engaging in twofold proper attention. It is called possessing the supreme pure conduct, which is a synonym for possessing the path beyond the world. Not seeking lust that must arise from other than lust, is because of abandoning it after fully knowing it as it is. Fully knowing it as it is, one should know that it is realizing Suchness. Not being distracted from abandoning lust is because of understanding the means of abandoning non-pure conduct. Accepting the arising lustful attachment is because of abandoning the internally arising desire and attachment externally. Fearing the antidote to lust is because of striving to liberate all sentient beings with its antidote. Repeatedly engaging in twofold proper attention is that calm abiding and insight, the two, properly attend to the two, the worldly and the transcendental. For the sake of all defilements and various aspects becoming the nature of the four truths by the difference of fruit and cause, one properly attends to the two paths, the worldly and the transcendental. Why is this treatise called the "Abhidharma-samuccaya"? Because it is collected after understanding, because it is completely collected, because it is the place of seeing things as they are. If asked why this treatise is named "Abhidharma-samuccaya"? In the manner of definitive words, because it is collected after understanding, that is, bodhisattvas realize that very Suchness and comprehend it, it is called the synonym of brevity. Because it is completely collected, that is, from the Abhidharma Sutra, it is called the synonym of collecting all places of thought. Because it is the place of seeing things as they are, that is, by means of non-inverted means, it is called the synonym of being able to obtain even Buddhahood. It is called the determination of true words, the fifth Samuccaya. Abhidharma-samuccaya.

The commentary called "Explanation of the Abhidharma-samuccaya" composed by the teacher Jinasuta is complete. It was translated, reviewed, and finalized by the Indian Abbot Jinamitra and the Lotsawa Bande Yeshe De of Zhuchen. These two, the root text and commentary, through the kindness of the former lords of men who protected the Dharma, were well translated and finalized by very learned translators and panditas. However, in the Indian text, within the commentary, the words of the root text are completely present, and sometimes the commentary is missing, and likewise, the words of questions and answers and connections are missing, and the words of the commentary are translated with great inversion of upper and lower parts, and the words of the commentary are not as they are, but only the meaning is summarized and translated, and the summary and the detailed explanation are translated inconsistently, and some faults are seen, such as verses composed by oneself. Therefore, again in accordance with the Indian text, the Lotsawa, the Shakya monk Nyima Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo, who has heard much, slightly corrected it in the great temple of Pel Tharpaling. "The habit of discriminating wisdom is not small, because in this life diligence is made the essence, all explanations of scriptures are understood, and the doctrine of the scriptures of prophecy is well known. Furthermore, from translating the Abhidharma Mother Pitaka, may the virtue born from this on this garment of the victory banner, the supreme victory banner of fame, clear as the sun. May all beings, intelligent, glorious, and powerful in wisdom, having accomplished the Sugata Sun well, abide in the supreme state." "Explanation of the Abhidharma-samuccaya," Jinasuta.
