It is not plundered from the possessions of others, the objects of charity are not rotten and without defilement, the objects of charity are suitable, and the objects of charity are accomplished for the sake of the Dharma. From the perspective of the perfection of charity, it is obtained through the effort of rising up, which shows that the objects of charity are not accomplished through harm. What is accomplished through harm is not obtained through the effort of rising up, because it stays in its own place and is obtained by denying what others have entrusted. What is accomplished through the strength of the hand shows that the objects of charity are not plundered from others. What is plundered from others is not accomplished through the strength of the hand, because they use various methods to thin the flesh of those people and plunder it. What is not touched by dust and dirt shows that the objects of charity are not rotten and without defilement, and what is not touched by dust and dirt is synonymous with "abandonment." What is in accordance with the Dharma shows that the objects of charity are suitable, because weapons, poison, and alcohol, etc., which are not suitable objects, are completely abandoned. What is obtained through the Dharma shows that the objects of charity are accomplished through the Dharma. Because it is accomplished by completely abandoning cheating in measurement, etc., and making a living through wrong means, etc. How can one possess discipline? Because one guards the discipline that has been correctly received. Because one possesses equanimity, one possesses discipline. How can one be restrained by the Pratimoksha vows? Because it is the discipline of definite liberation. The vows that are kept for the sake of liberation are the Pratimoksha vows, which are the definite escape from samsara. How can one be complete in conduct and sphere of activity? Because it is the discipline that is not despised. The perfection of conduct is because the behavior, etc., is not despised by noble people. The perfection of the sphere of activity is because the five non-spheres of activity are abandoned, and the five non-spheres of activity for a monk are the place of killing and the brothel.
