It should be understood that great joy arises towards them. To go in all circumstances, to go in all circumstances, is because it is associated with the three circumstances such as the suffering of conditioned suffering. Among them, for the state of suffering itself, there is craving for separation when it is obtained; for the one that is not obtained, there is craving because it is not encountered. For the state of suffering of change itself, there is craving for connection and craving for encounter due to the difference between obtaining and not obtaining. For the state of suffering of conditioning itself, it is the craving of ignorance, because it is distinguished by afflictions and bad destinies, and because it is distinguished by feelings that are neither suffering nor pleasure. In particular, the all-pervasive consciousness is the state of suffering of conditioning itself, and it should be understood that craving arises there through the door of ignorance of self. To go at all times, to go at all times, is because it follows the three times. For the past time, it follows in the form of looking back; for the future time, it follows in the form of great joy; for the present time, it follows with special attachment. To go in all realms, to go in all realms, is because the craving for desire, form, and formlessness pervades the three realms. To go in all searches, to go in all searches, is because they seek desire, existence, and wrong asceticism. The one who seeks desire, that is, the one who is not completely liberated from the desire realm, that is the one who accomplishes suffering. Likewise, the one who seeks existence is the one who creates suffering in the form and formless realms. The one who seeks asceticism through wrong paths, that is, the one who is not completely liberated from samsara, that is the one who revolves in samsara. To go in all aspects. To go in all aspects is because it is associated with the existence of arising and destruction, the aspects of permanence and annihilation. Afflictions, as well as number, characteristics, arising, object, similar association, types and wrong conduct, realms, categories, and abandonment, should also be regarded as afflictions. What is the number? Two.

Defilements are six or ten. What are the six defilements? Desire, anger, pride, ignorance, doubt, and views. These themselves become ten through the distinctions of the five views. The distinctions of the five views are: the view of the aggregates of existence, the view of holding to extremes, wrong view, the view of holding views as supreme, and the view of holding moral discipline and asceticism as supreme. What is the characteristic? When any dharma arises, it arises with the characteristic of non-peacefulness. Because of its arising, the mind's continuum arises with non-peacefulness. That is the characteristic of defilement. The characteristic of non-peacefulness should be understood as the general characteristic of all defilements. It also has six aspects, namely: non-peacefulness due to distraction, non-peacefulness due to perversion, non-peacefulness due to excitement, non-peacefulness due to drowsiness, non-peacefulness due to carelessness, and non-peacefulness due to shamelessness. What is the arising? If the latent tendencies of defilements have not been abandoned, and the dharmas that are the basis of defilements also appear, and also, inappropriate attention is present, then from such a state, defilements will arise. Among these, the so-called abandonment of the latent tendencies of defilements means that the bad states that are in accordance with it have not been well destroyed. The so-called appearance of the dharmas that are the basis of defilements refers to attachment and so on. Among these, the so-called presence of inappropriate attention refers to grasping the object as having attractive characteristics and so on, which is in accordance with the arising of desire and so on. What is the object? All defilements should be regarded as the object of all defilements. The basis of defilements is also the object. What is ignorance? Defilements that operate in the desire realm, except for views and doubt, take the higher realms as their object. Although there are also cases where the higher realms are taken as objects even without ignorance, views, and doubt, it should be understood that they do not manifestly take that realm as their object in the same way that they take their own object, because they enter through the process of conceptualization. Therefore, it should be understood that it is established as an object.
