Since those do not have the cause of liberation, they are permanent, that is, they do not possess the cause. It means not possessing the cause of obtaining liberation. What is the cause of obtaining liberation? It is that the afflictive negative tendencies reside in the Thusness. In any continuum, if one encounters conditions conducive to the antidote, one can destroy it well. Therefore, it possesses the conditions, so it is called the cause. The opposite situation should be understood as not possessing the cause. What benefit does a wise person obtain by possessing the cause? One will be able to understand the increase and decrease of phenomena. If one understands increase and decrease in this way, then one will not be attached to any of the worldly perfections or declines. For all of these, one will abandon attachment and anger. From the Abhidharma Dharma Collection, named "Collection of Characteristics," it is the first part of the "Collection." What is ascertainment? Truth ascertainment, Dharma category ascertainment, hearing ascertainment, and truthful speech ascertainment. What is truth ascertainment? It is the four noble truths, namely suffering, origin, cessation, and path. What is the truth of suffering? This can be understood through the birth of sentient beings and the place of birth. Both the world where sentient beings are born and the place where the vessel world is born are called suffering. What is the birth of sentient beings? That is, sentient beings in hells, sentient beings in animals, in pretas, in humans, in Purvavideha, in Aparagodaniya, in Jambudvipa, in Uttarakuru, the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, Thirty-three, Yama, Tushita, Nirmanarati, Paranirmitavasavartin, Brahma's retinue, Brahma's attendants, Great Brahma, Lesser Light, Immeasurable Light, Clear Light, Lesser Virtue, Immeasurable Virtue, Increasing Virtue, Cloudless, Merit-born, Great Fruit, Non-perceptual Sentient Beings, No Affliction, No Heat, Beautiful Appearance, Extremely Visible, Akanishta, Space Infinite, Consciousness Infinite, Nothingness,

In the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. What is the place of origin, the vessel world? In the circles of wind, the circles of water rely. In the circles of water, there are circles of earth. In the circles of earth, there are Mount Sumeru, the seven golden mountains, the four continents, the eight intermediate continents, the inner ocean, the four outer oceans, the levels of Mount Sumeru, the retinues of the Four Great Kings, the other abodes of the Thirty-three, the surrounding mountains, the immeasurable palaces in the sky, the Contentious, the Joyful, the Enjoying Emanations, the gods of Controlling Others' Emanations, those who enjoy form, the other abodes of the Asuras, the other abodes of the hell beings, the hot hell beings, the cold hell beings, the ephemeral hell beings, the animals, the pretas, and some of their other abodes. As many as the suns that illuminate and travel everywhere, illuminating the directions, in such a thousand worlds, there are a thousand moons, a thousand suns, a thousand Mount Sumerus, the king of mountains, a thousand Eastern Videhas, a thousand Southern Jambudvipas, a thousand Western Godaniyas, a thousand Northern Kuras, the gods of the retinues of the Four Great Kings, the Thirty-three, the Contentious, the Joyful, the Enjoying Emanations, a thousand other abodes of the gods of Controlling Others' Emanations, and a thousand empty other abodes of the Brahma world. This is called the world of the first thousand. This thousand worlds of the first thousand is called the world of the intermediate two thousand. This thousand worlds of the intermediate two thousand is called the world of the great three thousand. The world of the great three thousand is surrounded by a great perimeter. This world of the great three thousand is destroyed and formed simultaneously. For example, if a stream of water flows like a yoke, there is no gap between the streams of water flowing in the sky. The eastern world is destroyed and formed.
