It is because of the thorough distinction made by habits. The rest are the collection of all afflictions of life. What is the meaning? The meaning of no maker is: the meaning of universally arising from individual causes and conditions, and the meaning of arising from causes and conditions, and the meaning of no sentient beings, and the meaning of the freedom of others, and the meaning of no movement, and the meaning of impermanence, and the meaning of momentariness, and the meaning of the uninterrupted continuity of cause and effect, and the meaning of cause and effect being in harmony, and the meaning of cause and effect being diverse, and the meaning of cause and effect being individually determined, is the meaning of universally arising from individual causes and conditions. The meaning of 'no maker' is because it is free from makers such as Ishvara. The meaning of 'arising from causes and conditions' is because it arises from the cause of ignorance. The meaning of 'no sentient beings' is: the meaning of selflessness by its own nature. The meaning of 'the freedom of others' is: because it depends on causes and conditions. The meaning of 'no movement' is: because the causes and conditions have no effect. The meaning of 'impermanence' is: because it is not constant. The meaning of 'momentariness' is: because it does not remain beyond the time of arising. The meaning of 'the uninterrupted continuity of cause and effect' is: because the moment of the cause ceasing and the moment of the effect arising occur simultaneously. The meaning of 'cause and effect being in harmony' is: because not everything arises from everything. The meaning of 'cause and effect being diverse' is: because many effects arise from the form of many and one cause. The meaning of 'cause and effect being individually determined' is the meaning of universally arising from individual causes and conditions, because the effect does not arise from other causes. How is it difficult to understand? It is difficult to understand from the cause, difficult to understand from the characteristics, difficult to understand from arising, difficult to understand from abiding, and it should also be seen as difficult to understand from appearing. Furthermore, with these meanings of no maker, etc., universally arising from individual causes and conditions, it should be known that it is difficult to understand in five ways, that is, difficult to understand from the cause, which is the antidote to the two meanings of speaking of dissimilar causes and no cause.

What is difficult for you to understand is due to the very fact of selflessness. Because from the causes of arising that are difficult to understand, results arise, but it is not done by them, because of these two reasons. What is difficult to understand by abiding is that although there is no complete abiding, it appears to abide, so there are three reasons. What is difficult to understand by arising is that it is difficult to fully understand the arising of results from causes, so there are four reasons. Furthermore, arising universally from individual causes is also momentary. Abiding is also the same, arising universally from individual causes also arises from immutable causes. It is also observed to arise from the cause of capacity. Arising universally from individual causes is also non-sentient, and it is also observed as sentient. Arising universally from individual causes is also without a doer, and it is also observed that actions and results are not wasted. Although there is no doer, there are also actions and deeds, and the enjoyment of their results. This should be understood here that actions and results are not wasted. It is not produced from self, not produced from other, not produced from both. Not one's own action, not another's action, and not produced from no cause. Therefore, it is difficult to understand. Dharma is not done by itself, because who does it, it has not arisen, so it does not exist. Nor is it done by others, because the causes are not the doer. Nor is it done by both, because those two causes have not done it. It is not done by oneself, not done by others, and not produced from no cause, because the causes are able to produce results. If in another way, it is not done by oneself, because it depends on causes. It is not done by others, because even if there are causes, if there is no seed, it will not arise. It is not done by both, because those two are immutable. Nor is it produced from no cause, because there is capacity from seeds and causes. Furthermore, it arises from its own seed, not from others. Because it depends on it, it is not done by itself. Because it is immutable, it is not done by both. That is due to capacity, so it is not produced from no cause. Although by saying "not produced from self, not produced from other" two extremes are avoided, however, when arising universally from individual causes becomes difficult to understand, where the four extremes
