past, future, or present occurrences, whether internal or external, coarse or subtle, inferior or excellent, distant or near. Because all of these are gathered and piled together, it is called the skandha of form. It is the same up to the skandha of consciousness, like the skandha of non. Regarding the eleven types of craving, it should be understood without distinguishing the forms of past, etc., such as form. That is, craving that looks forward, craving that rejoices in the present, craving that is particularly attached, craving for self, craving for objects, craving for desire, craving for samadhi, craving for the suffering of wrong conduct, craving for the happiness of right conduct, craving for the distant, and craving for the near. These cravings should be combined with the forms of past, etc., according to the order of their objects themselves. In another classification, there are the differences between what has occurred and what has not occurred, the differences between the grasper and the grasped, the differences between looking outward and looking inward, the differences between being afflicted and not being afflicted, the differences between distant and near, and past, etc. It should be understood as it fits. Among these, what has occurred is the past and the present. What has not occurred is the future. The grasper is the internal. The grasped is the external. Looking outward is the undeliberated. Looking inward is the deliberated. The rest are not explained because they are easy to understand. Furthermore, it is for approaching the characteristic of the extreme increase of suffering, as it is said in the sutras, "Only a great heap of suffering will arise," like a heap of wood. The characteristic of the extreme increase of suffering is approached because, relying on form, etc., suffering such as birth will increase. Furthermore, because it is the burden of complete affliction, like carrying a burden on the shoulders. Because it is the burden of complete affliction, that is, complete afflictions such as afflictions rely on form, etc., just as in the world, carrying a burden on the shoulders.
