It is the cause of... It is both the eye and the eye realm. Those are the cases that are not. It is neither the eye nor the eye realm. Those who are completely extinguished in the realm of nirvana without remainder, and the noble ones born in the formless realm. Just as the eye and the eye realm are, the nature of the ear, nose, tongue, and body should be inferred in the same way. The so-called last eye of the Arhat is the last at the time of extinction. That is the illusion of other eyes, so it is not a realm. The so-called cause of the eye of the ordinary being born in the formless realm is transferred from there, in order to abide in the consciousness that can fully grasp the seed of the eye born in the form realm. In this way, the eye will also manifest and be accomplished, but it is not for the non-returner noble ones. It is the body realm but not the body. Here should be said the so-called cause of the ordinary being born in the formless realm, such as being in an egg, etc., because there is a body. The body is destroyed because it does not live. What is mind, is it also the mind realm? What is the mind realm, is it also mind? What is not the mind realm in the mind is the last mind of the Arhat. What is not mind in the mind realm is the mind realm that enters into cessation. Is it mind and also the mind realm? Those are the cases that are not. What is neither mind nor the mind realm is the one who is completely extinguished in the realm of nirvana without remainder. It is called the mind realm but not the mind. Here, the non-perception samadhi is not taken, because there is an afflicted mind. Where does it arise and where is it born, does the eye of that place see the form of that place? Arising and being born refers to being established and growing, it is the order. The eye of that place sees the form of that place. There are also those who see other places. Arising and being born in the desire realm, the eye that walks in the desire realm sees the form that walks in the desire realm, and the form

Those who are in the higher realms of activity can see the lower realms of activity. Just as the eye sees forms, so does the ear hear sounds. Just as one is born in the desire realm, so does one arise and is born in the form realm. Those born in the desire realm, the nose, tongue, and body that operate in the realm of desire, smell odors, taste flavors, and touch tangible objects. Those born in the form realm, the body that operates in form touches the tangible objects of its own realm. There, odors and flavors are inherently absent because they are free from attachment to the food of the realm. Therefore, there is no consciousness of the nose and no consciousness of the tongue. Those who arise and are born in the desire realm, the mind that operates in desire, knows the activities of the three realms and also the undefiled dharmas. Just as one is born in the desire realm, so is one born in the form realm. Those who are born in the formless realm, the mind that operates in the formless, knows its own realm of activity in the formless and also the undefiled dharmas. The undefiled mind knows the activities of the three realms and also the undefiled dharmas. This is said in the context of noble hearers; externalist ordinary beings only know their own realms. This dharma, some, due to the power of having previously heard and fully cultivated it, also focus on the higher realms, because it arises from there. Why are the aggregates spoken of in order? Because it is the place of consciousness, the four places of consciousness and consciousness. Moreover, the former is the proximate cause of the latter: as form is, so it is experienced. As one feels, so one perceives. As one perceives, so one thinks. As one thinks, so one cognizes. One will approach there and there. "As form is, so it is experienced" means that happiness and so on arise from the two, the faculty and the object, that experience happiness.

Because feelings such as sensation arise. As feeling occurs, it is called perception, because perception grasps the characteristics as they are experienced. As perception occurs, it is called volition, because volition manifests actions in accordance with perception. As volition occurs, it is called consciousness, because it approaches and arises in that and that place, because consciousness distinguishes the objects that have been manifested and acted upon, etc., in other activities. Moreover, it is to draw near to complete defilement and purification, because where there is complete defilement and purification, either as experienced, or grasping characteristics, or manifesting actions, by which complete defilement and purification occur, or what is complete defilement and purification, thus it shows the order of the aggregates. Where there is complete defilement and purification, it is the realm with the senses. By what is experienced, it is with poison and without poison, etc., and the order. By what is grasping characteristics and manifesting actions, it is by inappropriate and appropriate engagement. What is complete defilement and purification is because the mind arises with and without afflictions. Why are the elements spoken of in order? It is to draw near to following the worldly conventions, what is drawing near to following the worldly conventions, first they look at each other, based on looking they speak universally, after that they enjoy bathing, anointing, and garlands, after that they enjoy food and drink, after that they fully enjoy beds, bedding, and women. All are the realm of mind with discrimination. With the internal elements as the cause, the external elements are in order. After that, the elements of consciousness. As is the order of the elements, so is the order of the sources. The meaning of the aggregates, whatever is form, everything has been transcended.
