The suchness of arising, as well as the cessation of individual examination, and impermanence itself must be removed. For example, rabbit horns, etc., are completely non-existent, so it is impossible to exclude from these. Like this, these are fundamentally non-existent. These rabbit horns, etc., are not excluded from this colored thing, because they are common with feelings, etc. Therefore, it is said to exclude from form itself. Whatever is not form, it should be said, with the word of that non-existent nature, it can exclude feelings, etc., which are non-form, because those are not the nature of non-existence. What is called non-selective cessation? It is that which does not depart from cessation. The so-called not departing from cessation is because the latent tendencies have not been completely destroyed. What is called selective cessation? It is that which departs from cessation. The so-called departing from cessation is because the latent tendencies have been completely destroyed. There are two things to be abandoned, namely afflictions and the feelings that become their place. There are also two kinds of feelings, namely changing and unchanging, that is, the order of pleasure and pain and neither pleasure nor pain. Among them, abandoning afflictions can establish selective cessation. Abandoning two kinds of feelings can establish immobility and cessation of perception and feeling. Among them, abandoning afflictions is transformation because it is separated from the bad destinies that are in accordance with it. Abandoning feelings is transformation because it is separated from the obscurations of the samadhi that is the antidote to it. Therefore, in the second dhyana, non-doing is not established for the cessation of suffering, because the changing feelings have not been completely abandoned. Therefore, it is said, what is immobility? It is the cessation of happiness and suffering that has been freed from the desire for good increase, but has not been freed from the desire for the upper realms. What is the cessation of perception and feeling? It is the abandonment of the desire for the realm of nothingness, the pacification arising from the peak of existence, with thought as the leader, and the mind and mental factors that are not stable, and some of those stable dharmas are eliminated. Also, whatever is form

The five forms, as well as the aggregates of feeling, perception, formation, and the eight unconditioned bases, when combined, the sixteen natures are the realm of phenomena. What is the form of the sense base? The ten forms of the form realm are the ten sense bases. What are the seven consciousness realms? That is the mind base. What is the realm of phenomena? That is the phenomena base. Therefore, the aggregates, realms, and sense bases transform into three dharmas, namely the form aggregate, the realm of phenomena, and the mind base. The form aggregate includes the ten form realms. The realm of phenomena is the same. The mind base includes the seven consciousness realms. Thus, all dharmas transform into three. The questions that arise from establishing the aggregates, realms, and sense bases in this way should be explained. If the eyes, ears, and noses each have two, how would it not become twenty-one realms? Even if they each have two, both are characteristics of the eye, because the characteristics are the same, and the function of both is the consciousness of the eye, the function is the same, so it is not a different realm. The same should be applied to the ears and nose. The reason for forming two is for the beauty of the place. If both sides are very beautiful, it is for the beauty of the place, and not for other reasons. Does the consciousness of the eye always arise relying on each eye? Or does it rely on both eyes? The answer is: In order to perceive clearly, it arises relying on both eyes. For example, if you open both eyes, the perception of things becomes clear, but not with one eye. For example, if two lamps are lit in a room, relying on the two lamps, the light will increase, and one lamp will not be so bright. Similarly, here too, it should be viewed in the same way. If its various objects are close, then for its various forms, do the consciousnesses arise sequentially through each sense gate? Or does one consciousness perceive simultaneously? One consciousness perceives simultaneously, but the forms should be understood as diverse. The tongue has one realm of food.

What? The consciousnesses of tongue and body should be known to arise constantly and simultaneously. Because sound is interrupted, it is transmitted from one place to another. It does not go to other places by the continuity of arising, however, like this, staying in its own place, it arises once, just as the light of a lamp increases, the increase of sound should also be viewed in this way. Even a sound that is nearby but obstructed cannot be heard clearly, because that sound is obstructed, it should be known to arise faintly from the gaps in the obstruction. Among these six aggregates of consciousness, how many are with conceptualization? And how many are without conceptualization? With three conceptualizations, for the time being, the consciousness of mind is the only one with conceptualization. The three conceptualizations are self-nature conceptualization, recollection conceptualization, and manifest contemplation conceptualization. Among these, self-nature conceptualization refers to the conceptualization of the aspect of one's own nature when experiencing the arising phenomena of the present. Recollection conceptualization refers to the conceptualization of phenomena previously experienced. Manifest contemplation conceptualization refers to the conceptualization of manifest contemplation on past, future, and hidden phenomena of the present. Furthermore, there are seven conceptualizations: conceptualization that enters into its object by its own nature, conceptualization with signs, conceptualization without signs, conceptualization that seeks universally, individual conceptualization, afflicted conceptualization, and non-afflicted conceptualization. Among these, the first conceptualization is the aggregate of the five consciousnesses, because it does not clearly grasp the object, but enters into its own object as it is by its own nature. Conceptualization with signs refers to self-nature and recollection conceptualization, because it clearly grasps the objects of the present and past. Conceptualization without signs refers to the conceptualization that enters into the object of the future. The remaining ones should be known as the nature of manifest contemplation conceptualization, like this, sometimes it is the universal seeking of conceptualization, sometimes it is individual conceptualization, sometimes it is afflicted.
