It is said to have completely transcended suffering. Thus, if one is free from the afflictions that cause future suffering to manifest, then one will also be completely liberated from suffering. To specifically explain this, it is said to be "free from" and "completely liberated." The nature of cultivation can be divided into two: the path of seeing and the path of cultivation. Among them, "with a mind free from inversion" indicates the path of seeing. "To abide many times" indicates the path of cultivation. The nature of abiding and being related to abiding is to show that the lower is the abode of the upper, and so on. The nature of interruption between complete knowledge and so on is that, even if the three are combined in this way, one cannot truly know. The nature of conformity is to observe faults and so on, just as these forms and so on abide. The nature of fault from complete ignorance is that, when there is no liberation, it is until one cannot realize the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Conversely, one should know that it is the nature of benefit. The door of power and non-power is that, in any place, if one word is not spoken, the meaning cannot be understood, so it shows the power of each word. For example, in the Sutra of Dependent Arising, it says: "This being, that arises; this arising, that is born; thus, ignorance conditions action, consciousness," and so on. The power of each of these words should be understood as the nature of dependent arising described above. The door of repetition is that, in any place, grasping one word in the sutra, it extensively shows the true meaning. For example, a monk with six qualities, if even the breath in his mouth can scatter the king of mountains, the snowy mountain, then the dispute of ignorance together with habits, needless to say. What are the six? Monks, here, a monk is skilled in generating the mind of enlightenment, to being skilled in means, and so on. Just as it is said like this. From this sutra, arising, abiding, rising, increasing

Decrease and increase, and means. Thus it is said. How is a monk skilled in generating the mind? That is, this monk, from being detached from desire, dwells completely up to the fourth dhyana. Thus, the monk is skilled in generating the mind. How is a monk skilled in the abiding of the mind? That is, this monk, with the interval of the cause of universal reliance, makes that dhyana, which is in accordance with the part that is lost, in accordance with the part that abides. Thus, the monk is skilled in abiding. How is a monk skilled in making it arise? That is, this monk makes the dhyana, which is in accordance with the part that abides by the cause of universal reliance, in accordance with the part that has become special. Thus, the monk is skilled in making it arise. How is a monk skilled in increasing? That is, this monk extensively cultivates the two correct abandonments called "those unwholesome dharmas that have not arisen." Thus, the monk is skilled in increasing. How is a monk skilled in decreasing? That is, this monk extensively increases the two correct abandonments called "those sinful unwholesome dharmas that have not arisen." Thus, the monk is skilled in decreasing. How is a monk skilled in means? That is, this monk cultivates the samadhi of aspiration, the foot of miraculous power endowed with the effort of abandonment, and so on, and extensively applies the four feet of miraculous power. Thus, the monk is skilled in means. Thus it is said. The door of manifestation is: In any word, it also shows four sentences, etc. In each sentence of those four sentences, etc., it should be known that the manifestation is endless with other four sentences, etc. For example, in the Sutra of Making the Buddha, it says: "These four are the dharmas by which the great Bodhisattvas completely purify Bodhi, namely, cultivating emptiness, and having a mind without hatred for all sentient beings, and constantly being close to accomplishing benefits for the Bodhisattvas, and truly showing generosity with a mind without impurity." This begins with the benefit of oneself and the benefit of others.

In order to completely purify Bodhi, one should understand the antidotes to the four opposing factors. The four opposing factors are delighting in the taste of meditative absorption, harmful intent, pride, gain, and craving for respect. Alternatively, the first Dharma shows the antidote to abandoning afflictions. The remaining ones show the complete abandonment of the inferior vehicle of the three vehicles, because the Bodhicitta cherishes all sentient beings, fully matures those who have entered, and causes those who have not entered to enter. Alternatively, one shows the complete accumulation of wisdom. The three show the complete accumulation of merit, because approaching, fully maturing, and entering, each generates a distinction of merit. Again, it should be understood by two causes: by thinking, it is the mind of love. By practice, it is to be understood as showing nearness to attainment and prophecy. Endowed with four qualities, the Bodhisattva meditates on emptiness, inwardly the mind does not conceptualize, generates the power of excellent discriminating faith, truly understands all dharmas, and is liberated from all obscurations. These are what one relies on to meditate on the world, that is, to rely completely. What does one rely on? It is the perfection of meditation. How does one meditate? By the path of ordinary beings, generating the power of hearing and thinking, by the path of learning and the path of no more learning. A Bodhisattva endowed with four qualities has a mind without hatred towards all sentient beings. Meditating on love, not being distracted in practice, not conceptualizing signs, and enduring weariness. Here, it is also fully shown what one relies on and how one possesses a mind without hatred. What does one rely on to know? It is from meditating on love in previous lives. How does one possess a mind without hatred? Towards those who abide in wrong practice, the mind is not distracted, towards those who harm, one does not conceptualize the sign of harming, and one strives for the benefit of others.
