Etcetera, it is said to possess faith etc. The meaning of entering is five entries: the entry of characteristics, the entry of reversal, the entry of non-reversal, and the entry of differentiation. The five aspects of the meaning of entering are said to be the meaning of those entries. Among them, the entry of characteristics refers to the three characteristics of conditioned phenomena, such as arising, because of their different ways of appearing. Entering dependence means dwelling in what should be relied upon, such as sentient beings on the earth. The entry of reversal refers to all afflicted dharmas, because they do not enter as they truly are. The entry of non-reversal refers to the noble path, because it enters without reversal. The entry of differentiation refers to the different aspects of all dharmas, such as all actions entering the past, future, and present, and the aspects of inner and outer, etc. Commentary, commentary, what is explained by commentary? What explains the sutras by commentary? It is a synonym for extensively showing the meaning. What is that? It is the object to be fully known, the meaning to be fully known, the cause to be fully known, full knowledge, the result of full knowledge, and thorough full knowledge. How are these six meanings, such as the object to be fully known, explained and determined in each sutra in a way that is consistent with each other? Among them, the object to be fully known is the aggregates, etc. The meaning to be fully known is impermanence, etc. The cause to be fully known is ethics and guarding the doors of the senses, etc. Full knowledge is the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment. The result of full knowledge is liberation. Thorough full knowledge is seeing the wisdom of liberation. Again, there are fourteen doors of commentary. The fourteen doors are the door of collecting commentaries, the door of collecting objects, the door of limbs and near limbs, the door of manifesting and proving from higher to higher, the door of abandoning, the door of completely transforming letters, the door of exhaustion and non-exhaustion.

and the door of person's enumeration, the door of complete differentiation enumeration, the door of reason, and the door of complete knowledge and so on, the door of power and non-power, the door of repetition, and the door of manifestation. Among them, the door of collecting explanations is: In any sutra, with reason, it includes the necessary meaning, the meaning of words, connection, intention, debate, and answer. The door of collecting objects is: in any sutra, it explains the training, the noble truths, and objects, etc. For example: Do not do all evil deeds, practice perfect good deeds, subdue your own mind, this is the Buddha's teaching. Like this, the four-line verse summarizes the three trainings, etc. The door of branches and near branches is: wherever one word is used to indicate, the rest of the words are used to explain, thus clearly explaining. For example, when explaining the twelve leisures and endowments, the two words self-endowment and other-endowment are like being explained by the following five words respectively. For example: being born as a human being, being born in the center of the holy land, having complete faculties, not having matured karmic results, having faith in the place where one is, the Buddhas appearing in the world, proclaiming the sacred Dharma, the teachings abiding in the world, following the abiding Dharma, and being compassionate for others. The door of manifesting from high to high is: wherever the lower thing is the basis for the manifestation of the upper thing. Therefore, these dharmas are explained in this way. For example, the five faculties, namely: if you believe, you will start diligence; if you start diligence, you will remember; if you remember, you will enter samadhi; if you enter samadhi, you will truly know. The door of abandonment is: starting from this, abandon this. For example, in the Ladder Sutra, starting from the cessation of afflictions, abandon the outsiders, and clinging to these dharmas only through hearing and thinking, and being completely disappointed through meditation, and the complete collection.
