As for entering into absorption, it is not said to be free from desire for the upper realms, because there are also Arhats who are free from desire for the peak of existence in that realm. Among those supports, some refer to those that are encompassed by the afflicted mind. These two absorptions are also shown through ground, attention, place, nature, and imputation. What is a non-perceptual being? The mind and non-mental phenomena that are born among the gods of the non-perceptual realm are prevented, and this is called a non-perceptual being. What is the faculty of life? In the same category, the fixed duration of abiding that is thrown by previous karma is called life. The same category is the continuum of aggregates of one life. The fixed duration of abiding means how long this same category will abide here, whether it be a hundred years or a thousand years, and it is a distinction of the power made by karma. What is the same category? In each and every category of sentient beings, the category of that sentient being and those sentient beings being the same is called the same category. In each and every category of sentient beings means the categories of sentient beings such as gods and humans. Being the same category means those who are of the same birth. What is birth? In the same category, the arising of conditioned phenomena from non-arising is called birth. External form also possesses birth, so it is only regarded as the same category, in order to know the establishment of characteristics on the continuum of sentient beings. External form is the distinction between destruction and formation. Internal conditioned phenomena are the distinctions of birth, aging, and so on. What is aging? In the same category, the continuum of conditioned phenomena changing into something else is called aging. What is abiding? In the same category, the continuum of conditioned phenomena not being destroyed is called abiding. What is impermanence? In the same category, the continuum of conditioned phenomena being destroyed is called impermanence. The destruction of the continuum should be understood as death. These birth and so on should not be understood in each and every moment, but rather should be understood in the stage of the continuum. What are the collections of names? The verbal designations of the respective entities of phenomena are called the collections of names. The verbal designations of entities.

English

Earth is like the eyes and ears, and gods and humans, and so on. What is the collection of words? For the special words of the collection, it is called the collection of words. Special words are like "all conditioned things are impermanent," and "all sentient beings will die," and so on. What is the collection of elucidations? For those that do not change in the position of those two, it is called the collection of immutables. The so-called positions of those two refer to the immutable positions of the essence and the special words, such as A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), I (Tibetan: ཨི, Devanagari: इ, Romanized Sanskrit: i, Literal meaning: I), U (Tibetan: ཨུ, Devanagari: उ, Romanized Sanskrit: u, Literal meaning: U), and so on. Everything is limited to this, namely, essence, special characteristics, and the names of those two. All of these are the names of these, therefore, names, words, and the collection of elucidations are separately established. Elucidation means clarification, because it clarifies those two. Close expression is also the same, because it accurately expresses the meaning. Also, immutability itself does not change with different names, therefore it is a close expression. Not changing with different names is like, for example, the eye, other than the name "eye," there are also different names such as guide, elucidator, leader, and viewer, but those are also its names. Similarly, these immutables of A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) and I (Tibetan: ཨི, Devanagari: इ, Romanized Sanskrit: i, Literal meaning: I), other than these names of A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) and I (Tibetan: ཨི, Devanagari: इ, Romanized Sanskrit: i, Literal meaning: I), it should be known that they cannot be expressed by other names, therefore, not being changed by other names, it is immutability itself. Change should also be understood as going. What is individuality? Not having obtained the Dharma of the noble ones, therefore it is called an ordinary being. What is entering? The continuous flow of cause and effect is called entering. Entering continuously is separately established, because for a single moment or interruption, there is no related connection. What is individual determination? The difference between cause and effect, and so on, is called individual determination. Wanting the difference between cause and effect is virtuous conduct. Not wanting is bad conduct, and so on, the respective fruits are causes.
