, and, the pariniṣpanna-svabhāva is without ultimate essence because it lacks intrinsic nature. The parikalpita-svabhāva is without its own characteristics, hence it is without intrinsic nature. The paratantra is dependent on conditions, therefore it does not arise by itself. This refers to the fact that because it does not arise by itself, it lacks the intrinsic nature of arising, hence it is without intrinsic nature. The pariniṣpanna is a pure object, therefore in the paratantra, because it is the nature of the absence of characteristics of the parikalpita, in the ultimate sense it is distinguished by its own intrinsic nature of non-intrinsic nature, therefore in the ultimate sense it is without intrinsic nature, hence it is without intrinsic nature. In this way, all dharmas should be viewed as without intrinsic nature. However, it is not the case that in all circumstances it is considered to be without characteristics. What is the meaning of "unborn, unceasing, primordially peaceful, naturally in nirvāṇa"? Just as it is without intrinsic nature, so it is unborn. Just as it is unborn, so it is unceasing. Just as it is unborn and unceasing, so it is primordially peaceful. In this way, it is naturally completely in nirvāṇa. Furthermore, for those who are extremely vast, the intentions of the tathāgatas should be understood as four intentions: the intention towards equality, the intention towards other times, the intention towards other meanings, and the intention towards the thoughts of beings. Furthermore, all the intentions of the tathāgata in the Mahāyāna can be summarized into four, namely: the intention towards equality, as it is said in the sutras: "When I said 'I', at that time I had already attained perfect enlightenment as the Buddha Vipaśyin", this is because the dharmakāya has no difference. The intention towards other times, as it is said in the sutras: "Whoever makes aspirations to be born in the realm of Sukhāvatī will be born there", and "Merely remembering the name of the tathāgata Immaculate Moon Light will surely attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment". The intention towards other meanings, as it is said in the sutras: "All dharmas are without intrinsic nature, unborn", etc., this is because it is not literal. The intention towards the thoughts of beings, that is, for some praised roots of virtue,

Some are blamed for being content with just that. Similarly, the pure Buddha-fields are praised for the practice of desire. The perfections of some Buddhas are especially praised for the practice of pride. Obscuration by regret: It is said that all those who harm the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will approach the heavens. For those of uncertain lineage, it is to abandon the thought of the Shravakas. The great Shravakas are prophesied to become Buddhas, and it is taught that there is one vehicle, not two. In order to understand the hidden intentions of the Tathagatas in the extensive teachings, there are four hidden intentions: the hidden intention of introduction, the hidden intention of characteristics, the hidden intention of antidotes, and the hidden intention of transformation. All the hidden intentions for the Great Vehicle become these four. In short, it is the hidden intention of introduction and so on. Among them, for the hidden intention of introduction, one should look at the Shravaka Vehicle, so as not to be afraid to enter the teachings, because it is taught that form and so on exist. For the hidden intention of characteristics, one should look at the three natures, such as the completely imputed, because it is taught that all dharmas are without nature and unborn, and so on. For the hidden intention of antidotes, one should look at subduing faults, for example, the Great Vehicle is correctly taught as the supreme antidote to the eight obscurations. The eight obscurations are: despising the Buddha's teachings, and so on, which appear extensively. The examples of this should be observed as taught according to the intention. For the hidden intention of transformation, one should look at the profound statements, as it is said: Knowing the meaningless as meaningful, abiding greatly in the reversed, being extremely afflicted in all afflictions, one will attain the supreme Bodhi. The hidden intention for this is: for the non-distracted, those who arise with the thought of the real meaning, and those who supremely arise with the thought. Distraction is the mind wandering and floating. For the reversed
