Relying on the courageous Bodhicitta, with a mind that prioritizes compassion, one dwells especially in the actions of body, speech, and mind, without any regard for all harm and suffering. What is the perfection of diligence? It is the actions of body, speech, and mind of a Bodhisattva who abides in the nature of a Bodhisattva, relying on the Bodhicitta, with a mind that prioritizes compassion, and who perfectly accomplishes all virtuous dharmas. What is the perfection of meditation? It is the possession of all abidings of mind, with mastery over all aspects of the actions of body, speech, and mind, by a Bodhisattva who abides in the nature of a Bodhisattva, relying on the Bodhicitta, with a mind that prioritizes compassion. What is the perfection of wisdom? It is the complete discernment of dharmas in all aspects, with mastery over all aspects of the actions of body, speech, and mind, by a Bodhisattva who abides in the nature of a Bodhisattva, relying on the Bodhicitta, with a mind that prioritizes compassion. Furthermore, giving is that which originates from omniscience itself, transforms into omniscience itself, completely holds omniscience itself, and performs the activity of omniscience itself; that is called the perfection of giving. These four terms of giving should be understood in order as origination, habit, body, and homogeneity. Therein, origination is that which originates from omniscience itself, for the sake of dedicating all that has arisen and has not arisen. That very giving completely impregnates the habit in the continuum, and from that, all that follows transforms into omniscience itself. When that itself becomes completely perfected, at that time, it completely holds omniscience itself in the manner of accomplishing the Dharmakaya. After that, the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya perform the activity of omniscience itself through the door of homogeneity, and likewise, this should be understood up to the perfection of wisdom. Because in order, the latter relies on the former, through the perfection of giving, one becomes accustomed to completely giving away all internal and external things,

Even for a Bodhisattva who disregards life and limb, giving up a great mass of possessions, one truly upholds morality. By guarding morality, one becomes patient with insults, etc., thinking, "I should not insult back." Enduring cold and the like is to engage in diligence without diminishing the practice from its basis. Engaging in diligence is to cultivate meditation by obtaining the fruit of practice. Perfecting meditation, that is, abiding in equanimity of mind, one obtains transcendent wisdom by knowing things as they truly are. Moreover, since each preceding one is the basis for the succeeding one, morality is the basis for generosity. Similarly, wisdom is the basis for meditation. Thus, one who possesses morality, when benefiting others through generosity, morality does not cause harm, and therefore generosity becomes pure. Thus, For one who has taken the Bodhisattva vow, by being free from harm and being comfortable with resources, one should know that generosity is purified by the power of morality. Thus, one who possesses patience, for those who cause harm, without changing the basis of what has been learned, morality is purified. The power of joy from engaging in diligence, having vowed to samsara for the sake of sentient beings, easily enduring the suffering of causing sentient beings to be inverted, therefore patience is purified. The meditator, together with happiness and joy, also cultivates all virtuous dharmas, therefore diligence is purified. One who possesses wisdom, having contemplated various dharmas, attains inner peace, which is because samadhi increases, and meditation is purified. For it is said in the verses, "Without wisdom, there is no meditation." Moreover, one should understand according to the order of reason, in sequence. Generosity is the coarsest among all, therefore it is established first. After that, morality is made coarse by patience and so on. Similarly, meditation is made coarse by wisdom. Wisdom is the subtlest among methods, therefore it is placed last. The definitive word is, why is generosity called giv
