For those who abide, the mind is not distracted; for those who harm, there is no conceptualization of the sign of harming; and for striving for the benefit of others, there is no complete weariness. If a Bodhisattva possesses four qualities, they will always be able to benefit Bodhisattvas: completely subduing themselves, entering into the true teachings, finding happiness in the company of trees, and drawing near to offerings, gains, respect, and service. Here, too, one should fully rely on how to draw near based on what one relies upon. What does one rely on? On breaking down pride. How does one draw near? As explained before, in three ways, corresponding in order to inferior, equal, and superior Bodhisattvas. If a Bodhisattva possesses four qualities, they will truly teach the giving of Dharma with a mind free from defilement: being skilled in understanding obstacles, being skilled in dispelling ignorance and sinking, drawing near to joy, and delighting in the Dharma that protects. Here, too, one should fully explain how to truly teach based on what one relies upon. What does one rely on? On understanding that gains and respect are obstacles. How does one truly teach? Truly teaching to the ignorant, causing attachment in the negligent, causing those who are discouraged by holding themselves as inferior to truly uphold, truly praising, causing those who have truly entered to truly rejoice, and by naturally delighting in the Dharma. Thus, the other fourth quality should be understood as the manifestation of a detailed analysis of the words of the first fourth quality. After detailed analysis, the determination of universal instruction is that the aggregates and other Dharmas mentioned before should be combined as appropriate with understanding from one, and so on. Among these, the question of "understanding from one" is when one asks about one Dharma together with the remaining Dharmas one by one, abandoning that Dharma, and then asks about the second Dharma together with the remaining Dharmas. In this way, one asks about everything one by one. For example, does one who possesses the eye element possess the form

Does it also possess a place? Does that which possesses the place of form also possess the place of the eye? This is connected to the previous sentence. Does that which possesses the place of the eye also possess the place of consciousness? This has four possibilities. Likewise, does it also possess the place of mind? In between, how should this be paired? Among them, does it also possess the place of dharma? This should be connected to the previous sentence. Does that which possesses the place of form also possess the place of the eye? Does that which possesses the place of the eye also possess the place of form? This is also connected to the following sentence. Does that which possesses the place of form also possess the place of the ear? This should also be connected to the following sentence. Likewise, does it also possess the place of dharma? How should it be paired? Does that which possesses the place of the ear also possess the place of the eye? This has four possibilities. Likewise, it should also be paired up to the place of dharma. In this way, one by one, in a clear manner, all places should be paired with each other. The previous sentence and the pairing are made with respect to certain dharmas. If they are asked of each other, then the judgment is made based on the previous dharma. For example, is that which is knowledge also the knowable? Is that which is knowable also knowledge? This is the previous sentence and the pairing. That which is knowledge is also the knowable. There is that which is knowable but not knowledge, which are the other dharmas besides that. The following sentence and the pairing are: Likewise, when asking in pairs, the judgment is made based on the latter. For example, is that which is grasped also the grasper? Is that which is the grasper also the grasped? This is the following sentence and the pairing. That which is the grasper is also the grasped. There is that which is grasped but not the grasper, which are the five objects such as form and the place of dharma that does not correspond to them. The two possibilities are where two possibilities are shown, because there is nothing else besides that. For example, it is spoken based on the establishment of aggregates and the establishment of realms.
