There is no intention to conceal, and similarly, one should understand the activities of speech and mind as well. In order to avoid doubts that those terms cannot be established, the Teacher himself begins with the worst of those to be tamed, taming them according to their wishes, and then through instruction and teaching, they are known to be properly joined. The nature of non-forgetfulness refers to beginning with all the activities to be tamed, manifesting all the forms of what is done and said as they are, and the samadhi that is properly joined, and so on. Thoroughly destroying habitual patterns refers to, after becoming omniscient, in order to show the remnants of afflictive and cognitive obscurations, the movements of body and speech that are shown do not universally occur, and the samadhi that is properly joined, and so on. Great compassion refers to abiding in the great compassion that focuses on all aspects of the suffering of all sentient beings who act in the three realms, and the samadhi that is properly joined, and so on. The eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are: the Tathagata has no confusion, no clamor, no forgetfulness, no lack of equanimity, no different perceptions, no non-discriminating equanimity, no diminished desire, no diminished diligence, no diminished mindfulness, no diminished samadhi, no diminished wisdom, no diminished liberation, all bodily actions of the Tathagata are preceded by wisdom and followed by wisdom, all verbal actions are preceded by wisdom and followed by wisdom, all mental actions are preceded by wisdom and followed by wisdom, wisdom without attachment or obstruction to past time, wisdom without attachment or obstruction to future time, and wisdom without attachment or obstruction to present time. Their classification is as follows: for example, when an Arhat Bhikshu, whose defilements are exhausted, walks in a village for alms, he sometimes walks with a fierce elephant. Just like a fierce elephant, there are also fierce horses and mules.

Eating raw meat, eating dog meat, being entangled by dense thorns, being herded by two-legged ghosts, entering a house summoned by an unworthy woman, getting lost and going the wrong way in a monastery, walking with robbers, thieves, lions, tigers, and jackals, and similar situations like these, these mistakes of an Arhat, the Tathagata does not have at all. Furthermore, an Arhat sometimes gets lost while wandering in a large forest in a monastery, goes to an empty village and makes noises, clamors, shouts loudly, and due to the fault of habit, emits distressed, horse-like, disgusting laughter, and contemptuously reveals himself, like these similar situations, these noises of an Arhat, the Tathagata does not have at all. The Tathagata does not forget, because he is without afflictions, he can remember what was done and said long ago. Furthermore, an Arhat enters a state of Samadhi after entering into meditation, but not after rising. For the Tathagata, there is no time when the mind is not in a state of Samadhi. Furthermore, an Arhat considers the aggregates to be very discordant, and considers Nirvana without aggregates to be peaceful. The Tathagata does not have different ideas about the aggregates and Nirvana. Furthermore, an Arhat abandons the benefit of sentient beings without discrimination. The Tathagata does not have such indiscriminate abandonment. Furthermore, an Arhat, starting from the complete purification of the obscurations of knowledge, completely degenerates because he has not obtained desire. Diligence, mindfulness, Samadhi, wisdom, and liberation also completely degenerate. The Tathagata does not have these six kinds of complete degeneration. Furthermore, an Arhat sometimes engages in virtuous actions of the body, and sometimes engages in indeterminate actions. Just as the actions of the body are, so are the actions of speech and the actions of mind. The Tathagata's
