In order to explain the possession of qualities, if one does not nominally establish sentient beings elsewhere, but only shows the characteristics of universal defilement and complete purification, then one cannot know that so-and-so has abandoned these faults in their mind-stream and that these qualities have arisen. The establishment of a person (Pudgala) is sevenfold, distinguished by conduct and so on. Among them, to conduct oneself with desire means that the component of desire is large and long-lasting. Great desire arises even for bad things that cause attachment, and once it arises, it continues for a long time. It is the same with conducting oneself with conceptual thought; one should apply it according to the nature of the thing itself. To conduct oneself with equality means that afflictions naturally exist. Abandoning the large and small components of afflictions, it is a synonym called the "state of equality," because afflictions universally arise in accordance with the nature of things themselves. Diminishing afflictions means that afflictions exist in a nature that is extremely thin. From the characteristics that show the existence of the nature of afflictions, the thinnest affliction exists because the nature of affliction exists and is thin. Because of the power of previously familiarizing oneself with great antidotes, even for things with large components, afflictions naturally arise universally in small amounts. The vehicle of the Hearers (Śrāvakas) should be understood as being taught by means of the distinctions of lineage, faculty, aspiration, intention, object, practice, and fruit. The dull faculty here is relative to the faculties of the Solitary Buddhas (Pratyekabuddhas) and Bodhisattvas. Otherwise, it would contradict the statement that those who follow the Dharma, etc., have sharp faculties. Among them, those that are in accordance with the decisive factor, which have not arisen before and have not obtained the fruit before, exist alone like a rhinoceros. Solitary conquerors other than that practice with the Sangha. To say that one has also obtained prophecy is a synonym for obtaining the tolerance of non-arising phenomena on the eighth ground. Not accumulating merit and so on refers to those that are in accordance with the part of liberation, and the small, medium, and large that are in accordance with the decisive factor.

It is about the aspects of determination and the arising of realizing the truth. That is, because of having determination and non-determination, and the time of rebirth, it should be understood in order. Here, those who are in accordance with the aspect of liberation, which is based on the truth and has faith as its nature, those who are in accordance with the aspect of determination, which is in accordance with the nature of forbearance of definitely thinking about the Dharma, are because faith is supreme and wisdom is supreme, in order. The phrase "the supreme of worldly Dharma is momentary by nature" is a synonym for "not permanent." "Because complete deterioration occurs due to the complete deterioration of habits," is because there is no need to generate the root of virtue that previously generated the ability to pacify. The Blessed One, considering the small aspect of liberation, said: "The true view of worldly people, whoever has the great one, will not be reborn in the lower realms even in a thousand lifetimes." There are also four aspects in accordance with liberation: belonging to the occasion, arising from faith, arising from special desire, and arising from attainment. From the arising of the desire for the aspect of virtue, whatever is in accordance with the aspect of liberation belongs to the occasion. Whoever has faith in the teachings that are completely in accordance with this arises from faith. Whoever has joy and faith, and has many mental activities focused on liberation, arises from special desire. Whatever is certain to generate the aspect of determination in this life arises from attainment. There are six aspects in accordance with determination: accordance, special, complete realization, complete transformation, one life, and one place. Among them, whatever is focused on the truth, the first arising of the small root of virtue is the one in accordance. Whatever becomes intermediate is the special one, because the Dharma becomes supreme because of this. Whoever realizes the truth in this life and becomes the majority is the one who completely realizes. That is, whoever is of uncertain lineage, Bodhi
