Beginning with the perfections, each one should be combined with three parts each. Are all the uses of generosity that arise from the cause of the perfection of generosity generating merit? There are four possibilities: the first is the use of generosity that has not been fully dedicated to great enlightenment. The second is to correctly guide the holding, praise, and extreme joy in the mind from the perfection of generosity. The third is the generosity that is fully dedicated to great enlightenment. The fourth is excluding these situations. Similarly, beginning with the perfection of wisdom, each one should be combined with four parts each. The extremely vast also shows vastness and profundity, because its fruit, omniscience itself, is extremely vast and profound, so one should regard the cause as being in accordance with the fruit. Some people do not believe in it and are afraid of it because they do not possess the lineage of a Bodhisattva and because of their inherently inferior minds. Even if they have become its lineage, it is because they have not generated roots of virtue such as aspirations, beginning with great enlightenment. Even if they have generated roots of virtue, it is because they are completely occupied by sentient beings who abandon the Great Vehicle. Some people believe, but will not necessarily be liberated, because they have not cultivated sutras of definitive meaning, and they abide in holding their own views as supreme, and because they cling to the meaning literally. For example, with the words "all phenomena are without inherent existence," they denigrate all things with all characteristics. Similarly, for others, clinging to the meaning literally, one should know that this will not necessarily lead to liberation from the Great Vehicle, because the Great Vehicle is spoken with various intentions. Considering this, the Blessed One said in the Dharma category of the Great Mirror of Dharma: "If a Bodhisattva does not properly analyze phenomena according to the literal meaning, twenty-eight wrong views will arise. What are those twenty-eight wrong views? From the view of clinging to characteristics to the view of manifest pride. For the Great Vehicle

When hearing words such as "all dharmas are without inherent existence" and "unborn," those who are not proficient in this meaning understand it literally, thinking that it is saying there are no things, thereby clinging to the characteristics of the unborn nature of all dharmas, etc. This is their view of clinging to characteristics. They cling to characteristics such as non-existence, thereby slandering the three natures: the completely imputed nature, the dependent nature, and the thoroughly established nature. Among them, what is the completely imputed nature? It is everything spoken from "form" to "nirvana," which is merely imputed and not truly existent. For this meaning of non-reality, fools make false distinctions, clinging to characteristics such as form. Among them, what is the dependent nature? It is that very non-real completely imputed nature. Among them, what is the thoroughly established nature? It is the suchness of all dharmas. Therefore, in this way of slander, three views arise: the view of slandering imputation, the view of slandering complete imputation, and the view of slandering suchness. In this way, they slander all dharmas in various ways. Therefore, in order to establish this view of slander, they will fully accept certain reasonings and perfect all those definitive meaning sutras that proclaim the inexpressible nature of reality in accordance with their own views. These become two views: the view of acceptance and the view of transformation. These will also become such views: relying on this view, whether one does good or evil, there will be no fault or sin, everything will become good, and they believe that it arises from previously accumulated obscurations. Such views are of two kinds: the view of no fault and the view of definite arising. Because they cling to such views, they negate dharmas such as the aggregates that contradict this view, disparage the Hearer Vehicle's teachings, and those who slander

These two views, which disapprove of the view of planting and extremely hate those of the Hearer Vehicle, are: the view of dominating power and the view of extreme conflict. Thinking that one's own view is that emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness are established as they are. To perceive what is not its nature as its nature is to pervertedly establish their nature, and also to think: all those who enter and delve into such a Dharma nature will generate immeasurable accumulations of merit. Such two views are: the perverted view and the increasing view. When they start from these views and are questioned by others, they are unwilling to admit anything, but question others with evasion and counter-questioning, these two views are: the view of non-admission and the view of deceit. They will also become arrogant like this. Those who practice in this way, thinking that they are making offerings and serving the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, their view is the view of reverence. For the non-perverted Dharma nature, wise people can distinguish these views, and can well understand and believe the widely known reasons, but still will not completely abandon these views, thinking that only this is true and others are false, these are the views of steadfast ignorance. The evil place of the habits of the views as mentioned above is the fundamental view. In order to condemn the faults of these seventeen views, it should be further explained, for example: the view of clinging to signs is called the view that is not a view, even if one is very attached to signs such as non-existence, it is because one has the concept of not being attached to all signs. The view of slandering investigation, the view of slandering pervasive calculation, the view of slandering reality, is the view of eliminating combination, the view of slandering everything, will become the concept of powerless effort. The view of complete grasping and the view of transformation are certainly
