For the sake of complete purification, one obtains the aspect of suffering by relying on the aspect of impermanence, and one obtains the aspect of selflessness by relying on the aspect of suffering. As it is said, whatever is impermanent is suffering, and that is selfless. Therefore, the aspect of selflessness is established as the unsurpassed nature. Starting from the unsurpassed nature, there are three unsurpassed natures: the unsurpassed nature of wisdom, the unsurpassed nature of the path, and the unsurpassed nature of liberation. Among these, the unsurpassed nature of wisdom is the wisdom of selflessness, because no other wisdom can be found beyond it. The unsurpassed nature of the path is easy and quick to realize, because it is the most excellent of all paths. The unsurpassed nature of liberation is the liberation of non-learning and non-confusion, because it surpasses all liberations. These three unsurpassed natures should be understood as being in the categories of the path of seeing, the path of cultivation, and the ultimate path, respectively. Fifth chapter. The action of the object is that of the eye, etc., that is, looking at forms, etc. The action of the function is that of the earth, etc., that is, acting as a support, etc. Or, whatever is the function of the nature of something, for example, the function of form is to exist as form, etc. The action of diligence is the action of the body, etc., preceded by thought. The action of transformation is that of goldsmiths, etc., that is, making ornaments, etc. The action of attainment is that of the noble path, etc., that is, attaining nirvana, etc. Here, it is mostly considered to be the action of diligence, because there is also the action of attainment. The actions of the body, etc., are called paths of action, and it should be understood how they are mainly explained in accordance with the Sutra Pitaka, because actions, etc., are also included in the actions of the body, etc. The three, four, and three paths of action should be understood as being the nature of the actions of body, speech, and mind, respectively. The basis of killing, etc., is belonging to the category of sentient beings and not belonging to the category of sentient beings.

How should they be combined appropriately? It is based on what that actions such as killing arise. The intention is the intention of recognizing that basis as such, and the intention of wanting to do that path of action. The application is the action of one's own or another's body, speech, and mind in order to do that. Afflictions are desire, hatred, and ignorance, whether combined or separate, how should they be combined appropriately? Completion means that the application is at that time, or later, that action is completely accomplished. Among them, the basis of killing is sentient beings. The intention is to recognize that sentient being as such, and the intention to kill. The application is weapons, etc., with the intention to kill. Afflictions are desire, etc. Completion means that immediately after that application or later, death occurs. The basis and completion of taking what is not given, etc., should be explained. The remainder should be combined appropriately. The basis of taking what is not given is what is possessed by others, belonging to the category of sentient beings or not belonging to the category of sentient beings. Completion is taking possession. The basis of sexual misconduct is women with whom it is not permissible to engage in sexual activity, and even if it is permissible, it is not a limb, not a place, not a time, without restraint, not of the same lineage, and all males and hermaphrodites. Completion is the union of two. The basis of lying is seeing, hearing, distinguishing, knowing, and not seeing, not hearing, not distinguishing, not knowing. The intention is to have a different recognition for others, and the intention to speak differently. Completion is being understood by attendants and opponents. The basis of divisive speech is sentient beings who are harmonious and not harmonious. The intention is to think of separating and not harmonizing. Completion is making them know separation. The basis of harsh speech is sentient beings who are the basis of all torment. Completion is speaking harsh words. The basis of idle talk is meaning that is meaningless. Completion is speaking that. The basis of covetousness is the wealth and possessions of others. The intention is to recognize that as such, and that
