Yes. The sixth, mental concomitant, is associated with mental pleasure. Everything is associated with equanimity, as before. It is not associated with pleasure and mental pleasure, because it appears in an inferior way. Pride in the desire realm is not associated with pleasure, because it is not associated with the five aggregates of consciousness. How is it associated with pleasure in the first and second dhyanas? It is associated with the mental concomitant of pleasure. What is the mental concomitant of pleasure? It is what arises as joy and pleasure. As it is said, what is joy? It is said that contentment, extreme joy, delight, happiness, and the experience of pleasure arise based on the consciousness of entering into whatever state has changed, and it belongs to feeling. What is pleasure? It is said that benefiting the place, contentment of the place, and experiencing pleasure arise based on the alaya consciousness of whatever state has changed, and it belongs to feeling. That is how it is explained. It is taught in this way: "Relying on the consciousness of entering" means relying on the mental consciousness, because there is no equal establishment with others. When the feeling of pleasure arises in the first and second dhyanas, whatever aggregates of mind and mental factors are associated with it, satisfy with the aspect of joy, and satisfy with the pleasure of purifying the nature of the alaya consciousness of the place. Therefore, in order to do the work of both of them, this joy and pleasure are known to be established in two aspects, as it is taught. Therefore, pride associated with it is called associated with pleasure and mental pleasure. Wrong view in the desire realm is called associated with mental pleasure and mental displeasure, because for those who do good and do evil, seeing that they have no consequences, disbelief and joy arise. It is not associated with pleasure and suffering, because all views are mental concomitants. Doubt in the desire realm is not associated with mental pleasure, because the mind has no certainty, which is faith.
