The reason for saying "From the earth element, it disintegrates naturally without depending on conditions" is that all things that arise disintegrate by their own nature without depending on conditions. Therefore, it inevitably disintegrates without depending on other conditions. There is no difference between a thing merely arising and disintegrating immediately, and disintegrating later. Therefore, all things that have the nature of disintegration disintegrate merely by arising, so it is established that they are momentary. The meaning of "the meaning of a thing that depends on one side is the meaning of a thing that is the cause" means that it does not depend on the side of arising, but becomes arising, because there is no power to arise independently. There are also aggregates that arise from one element, such as a dry clod of earth. There are also those that arise from two elements, that is, a moist clod of earth. There are also those that arise from three elements, that is, a warm clod of earth. There are also those that arise from all elements, that is, when the clod of earth is moist, warm, viscous, and movable. There are also aggregates of a single form that are the cause, such as light. There are also those that have two forms that are the cause, such as air with sound and smell. There are also those that have three forms that are the cause, such as smoke. That is because it is distinguished by the difference of form, smell, and tactile sensation. The difference of tactile sensation should also be understood as being soft. There are also those that have three forms that are the cause, such as water in a odorless jewel vessel, which has form, taste, and tactile sensation. There are also those that have four forms that are the cause, such as a molasses cube. There are also those that have five forms that are the cause, such as it has sound. Therefore, in other places, wherever one observes an element or something that arises from an element, one should know that it exists there, otherwise it is not. The so-called "subtle particle has no body" means that it has no own nature, it is merely a designation, that is its synonym. Because if it is broken down, there is no limit. It is designated as a subtle particle after being thoroughly divided to the end by wisdom.
