The phrase "the five aggregates of grasping are suffering" fully reveals the suffering of conditioning. These two phrases are not liberated, and impermanence follows, because it is not happiness. Birth is suffering, etc., is suffering in conventional truth, because it is the object of worldly consciousness. "The five aggregates of grasping are suffering" is suffering in ultimate truth from the aspect of the suchness of abiding, because it is the object of transcendental consciousness. The general characteristic of suffering is how yogis practice the truth of suffering with which aspects? That is, with impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. Among them, impermanence should be understood as the truth of suffering through twelve aspects, that is, the characteristic of non-existence, such as the suffering truth of the nature of self and what belongs to self, the meaning of constant non-existence, that meaning is the impermanent truth of suffering. "Non-" means negation, because it is a negative meaning. The word "constant" means all time. The characteristic of complete destruction is that conditioned things arise and then become non-existent. The characteristic of change is that different causes arise. The characteristic of separation is that the power of nature diminishes in those states of things themselves, and in some cases, it should also be recognized as being possessed by others. The characteristic of closeness is when impermanence is experienced. The characteristic of dharma is what will inevitably be experienced. The characteristic of an instant is that having obtained itself, it will inevitably be completely destroyed immediately. The characteristic of continuity is that it comes from beginningless samsara and will arise by going. The characteristics of sickness, old age, and death are the imbalance of elements, becoming bald, and the exhaustion of the attraction of the time of abiding. The characteristic of various changes in mind is abiding in incompatible aspects and the position of antidotes. The decline of enjoyment and wealth

Its nature is that all worldly wealth is not eternally existent, and ultimately it is a fault. The nature of the destruction and formation of the vessel world is that the great earth and so on are repeatedly destroyed and arise by fire and so on. Fire, water, and wind have the nature of burning, rotting, and drying, and these destructions are, in order, the ultimate destruction of the abodes of the first, second, and third dhyanas. The remaining parts above them, that is, the other abodes of the second, third, and fourth dhyanas, should be understood as being contained by them. By what are the immeasurable palaces of the fourth dhyana destroyed and formed? Not by any external thing, but those immeasurable palaces are formed simultaneously with the birth of those sentient beings, and cease simultaneously with death, and it should be understood that this is their destruction and formation. They make the kalpa complete, which is synonymous with "completely complete." In the period of formation, there is one intermediate kalpa from the decreasing kalpa to the increasing kalpa, and eighteen increasing and decreasing kalpas, a total of nineteen. After that, there is finally one increasing kalpa. "Exhaustion of life" refers to death, which is in terms of dying on time because the limit of life is completely fulfilled. "Exhaustion of merit" refers to dying untimely, because enjoying the taste of samadhi at that time will harm the karma that causes rebirth. "Exhaustion of karma" refers to dying from the exhaustion of karma, because the karma that has been born in that place and experienced, or the karma experienced in other times, has been exhausted, or because there is no karma, it should be understood that one will not be born there again. "The eight kinds of suffering" refers to the suffering of oppression and so on. The impermanence belonging to the category of birth is arising from what has not arisen, which is the nature of harming the aggregates on the side of suffering. Relying on this impermanence, one can thoroughly understand the suffering of suffering. The impermanence belonging to the category of destruction is arising and then disappearing, which is the unpleasantness of the aggregates on the side of happiness.
