All minds arising from hearing, etc., are such that, as these gradually nourish the seeds, eventually the mind that acts in the realm of form arises without interruption. Similarly, in order to be free from desire, the place of entering into meditative absorption, all the second dhyana, etc., should also be applied appropriately. Taking the first transcendence of the world as an example, as it is said, "How to transcend the world," and so on. The so-called "other's sound" refers to the Buddha and his disciples, etc., teaching the Dharma. The so-called "individual" refers to the ear consciousness grasping the words definitively, and after that, obtaining the expression and what is to be expressed in a non-inverted manner, the consciousness that enters into close discernment, because the reasoning-related attention becomes the main thing, it is called individual proper attention. The so-called "from its cause arises right view" is the beginning of all uncontaminated wisdom. From the other's sound, attention, etc., it also shows how from other views, without cause and lordly condition, it does not arise. Among them, first, it shows the absence of the lordly condition, the so-called "excellence of Dharma," which is the ultimate of mind. For this, does individual proper attention impress habits only on ear consciousness, or only on mind consciousness, or on both combined? If the former two are not reasonable, then it is shown that neither should be impressed, therefore only the former two are shown, for which it is said "those dharmas," etc. For the time being, because there is no ear consciousness, it does not impress. Mind consciousness also corresponds similarly to proper attention, although it arises and ceases together with proper attention and impresses, but it is not able to produce a result similar to its own kind. Why? Because the excellence of Dharma does not arise after it, the excellence of Dharma needs to be manifested for a long time.

Therefore. Whoever quickly attains liberation, it is also because the part of liberation in one lifetime is in accordance with the habit arising from hearing. Therefore, the consciousness of the mind that is in accordance with proper attention, which focuses on sound, is interrupted for a long time by other consciousnesses that are distracted, defiled, and neutral. The mind that is in accordance with proper attention, called the best of Dharma, is the meaning of what is called the mind. This shows that it is the mind of the best of Dharma, which is the dominant condition of the true view of transcendence. And its seed is the mind that is in accordance with sound attention by other views. If one contemplates the seed itself, then it is not permissible, because it has been destroyed for a long time. Therefore, without the dominant condition of the seed, how can it be permissible? Because there is no dominant condition, there is also no true view, so for the time being, it is said that there is no dominant condition. To show that there is no causal condition either. Whatever worldly mind is in accordance with proper attention, it is said as being equal. Here, the worldly mind that is in accordance with proper attention, called the best of Dharma, cannot hold the seed, because it has not been influenced by the habits of the transcendental mind, so it is not its seed, because there is no seed of the transcendental mind, there is no causal condition. If, again, the habit of hearing, born from sound attention, comes to the best of all Dharmas through transmission, what is it? Does it become the seed of the transcendental mind? Here, it is said that the habit of hearing is called equal, the habit of hearing, for the best of Dharma, for the sake of the transcendental, it is not permissible to hold the seed itself, as shown before. Therefore, in this aspect of the Alaya consciousness, there is nothing lacking such as cause and dominant condition, to show to others, one should abide, because there are few things to be said, and at the time of causal condition analysis.
