A Concise Explanation Differentiating the Secret Meaning. Vasubandhu. A Concise Explanation Differentiating the Secret Meaning. Vasubandhu. In Sanskrit: Bivṛttiguhyārthapiṇḍavyākhyā. In Tibetan: A Concise Explanation Differentiating the Secret Meaning. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! The ground for practitioners of yoga is made by also making the Hearers, etc., and the common and uncommon as masters. This treatise is composed with the intention of gathering all the Great Vehicle through the ten meanings of words that are the Hearers, etc., and the uncommon. It is not made by a single basis, nor by the two truths of conventional and ultimate, nor by the three of imputation, etc., nor by the four of the three times and the unconditioned, nor by the five of name, etc. That which is called "deeply entering the Great Vehicle" is imputation or the perfection of qualities, for the Great Vehicle itself goes there, so it is the object of suchness. Entering there is on the first ground itself. Deeply entering is on the tenth ground because of abandoning the obscurations of pervasive going, etc. The Great Vehicle, which is the nature of expression and what is to be expressed, is not apprehended, for even those who have not reached the end enter into it. Furthermore, it is only by entering the realm of phenomena that one enters it well. It is not the nature of the perfections, for it is the means of entering into it. Furthermore, those are also purified only by realizing it. Since it is the stage of a Bodhisattva, it is not the nature of the result. Thus, saying "deeply entering" is also for the sake of not speaking differently, for those who have not truly entered will also speak wrongly even in the presence of the Bhagavan, like Indra, as Indra said: "In the end, I have declined." etc. If one shows a single substance, then only that can show the tenth, this is reliance. The mastery of the ten grounds is not for others. Generally speaking, because it is like that, one will also trust others. That which is called a Bodhisattva is nominally so because it is aimed at enlightenment and sentient beings.

For example, affixes, just like ugliness and so on. In another way, here there is a hero towards Bodhi, because the word "hero" means thought, therefore it is a Bodhi hero. The reason for saying the nature of proclaiming the Mahayana is that the Mahayana is mentioned here in order to fully grasp the speaker, the spoken, the perfections, suchness, and the fruit. The great nature of all of this is the profound and vast unsurpassedness. The word nature is commonly used as a word for nature and fruit. For example, fire is the nature of heat, poison is the nature of killing, and so on. In the presence of the Bhagavan, this shows the trust that arises merely from the Buddha's permission, because it does not speak of the teacher and other dangers. Not approaching the teacher will also lead to speaking wrongly because of the remaining obscurations. Like this, this word is for closely stating the meaning of the ten words. Here again, the Mahayana is mentioned in order to approach the great Mahayana of the spoken nature. Because of the difference of the ten differences that will be explained, the words of the Tathagata are the Mahayana, therefore, here it refers to the Mahayana of the nature of words. However, why is the Mahayana mentioned again? It is to show that it is non-commonly gathered by the meaning of the ten words. If it is also the same as the nature of meaning, then it should not be said, if the nature of the Mahayana is proclaimed, then undoubtedly the tenth must also be the gathering, if it is said like this, that is not so. It is also thought to be the great nature from the perspective of the fruit. Like this, the fruit of the Mahayana, apart from the ten kinds, also has something that the Hearer Vehicle and the heretics do not have, and it is thought that it is therefore excellent. In order to definitely explain the non-commonness with the Hearers, and also to explain that only the Mahayana is gathered, therefore the Mahayana should also be said, in order to show that it is gathered. It is said in the Dharma Abhidhamma Mahayana Sutra
