It is also because there are afflictions. If this reason must be insisted upon, then it is itself unestablished, because the mind of rebirth is not only the support of the homogeneous contiguous condition, but also acknowledges the support of the seed. This is also uncertain, because the consciousness of mind does not cut off the roots of virtue, and is the same as the ninth contemplation, having the homogeneous contiguous condition, and there is also a cause for the certainty of the support of afflictions. If this is the case, then only the last mind of the intermediate state is considered to be afflicted, because it is also the mind that throws the rebirth, and is the support of the dominant condition. Therefore, all rebirths are only preceded by the mind of affliction. Mentioning "constant time" is also to show this meaning. If the mind of affliction is only an interval, it is connected with the nature of the homogeneous contiguous condition, then why must it be constantly connected with all the minds of rebirth? There is no difference between affliction and non-affliction in just an interval. Therefore, the throwing of the mind of rebirth itself is the mind of affliction, and it is of no help to be the consciousness of mind, therefore, the mind of affliction must be thrown, which is well known in many sentient beings' continuums. Therefore, the mind of rebirth is the consciousness of mind, because it is constantly thrown by the last afflicted mind of the intermediate state, just like the root of the body. Others place the mention of "body constantly" as a special feature of the word, and place it in a different position. The mind of rebirth is not the consciousness of mind, because it constantly follows the nature of Vipaka until death, just like the root of the body. The object aspect of the consciousness of mind is not available, if someone asks what is the object aspect of the consciousness of mind, it is clear

It is completely cut off, because without it, the aspect of the object is not completely cut off. Therefore, it is not the consciousness of mind, because the aspect of the object is not completely cut off, just like the body's sense organ, this is a famous saying. Is this not unestablished for others? No, because the Sutra school admits that in fainting, unconsciousness, cessation samadhi, etc., the aspect of the object of the mind consciousness is not completely cut off. It is also not uncertain, because the minds of unconsciousness, etc., are also completely gathered in one direction. For those among the Vaibhashikas who think that the intermediate state consciousness is an object with the aspect of an object, the same answer should be given. The objects of mind consciousness are of four types: past, future, unconditioned, and present arising. For the time being, the intermediate state mind does not focus on the past, because there is no clairvoyance, so there is no recollection of the body before the intermediate state. It is also not focused on the future and the unconditioned, because there is no seeing and hearing. It is impossible to infer and focus on the future and the unconditioned through seeing and hearing in the intermediate state. There are two types of present arising: belonging to one's own continuum and belonging to another's continuum. Among them, it does not focus on the continuum of others, because there is no continuum of discrimination, just like before. Belonging to one's own continuum, it also does not focus on the sense organ and form, because it cannot be discriminated in the same way. It is also not possible to focus on the form of the object, because for form, etc., the mind consciousness led by the sense consciousness of the eye, etc., is not the admitted direct perception, because the consciousness of the eye, etc., does not exist in the intermediate state, as has been explained before. If the mind consciousness is fainting, etc., that is to say, the mind consciousness will become two types, for this statement, for the time being, one is admitted, that is, the one who enters into virtue, etc. One.

What is the most extreme form of fainting that is also fully matured? What is the use of arguing with mere people about this? The very nature of things should be examined. Even if we allow that the consciousness is fainting, like "You are the afflicted and unafflicted dharmas, depending on seeds to arise," etc., if we admit that the seed itself is the support of the fainting consciousness, and that due to the cause, from the very seed of the master itself, the nature of the afflicted and unafflicted also arises, then it arises dependent on it. If we admit this, then the fainting consciousness is the cause of all seeds, and it is implicitly stated to be the Alaya consciousness itself, because the entity of the Alaya consciousness has been proven by other means. That is what it shows. However, by means of "whatever depends on it," etc., the fainting consciousness is the cause of all seeds, and merely the master of afflicted and unafflicted consciousness is called the support. Whatever afflicted and unafflicted consciousness depends on it, that itself cannot be said to be all seeds. Why? Because the consciousness that depends on it is not independent, because it is dependent, because it is prophesied, and because the gatekeepers do not arise and cease simultaneously, etc. That is what it shows. The all-pervasive affliction of birth, the linking of continuity, the state of being under the monkey, also has three aspects: namely, taking the sense faculty with form, and depending on name and form, as cause and effect, and the food of sentient beings. Among these, with regard to the first aspect, it is said, "Of those who have completed the linking of continuity," etc. This is possible in the desire realm and the form realm, but because it is a time of non-equilibrium, only enjoyment is taken in the desire realm. "Other than that" refers to the entering consciousness. "That which holds the sense faculty with form" means that here, by mentioning the sense faculty, it is not different from the sense faculty.
