Etc., in order, like coal, cow dung, sheep wool, etc. It is not possible to sow seeds of sesame, etc., on coal, etc. The seeds that are sown are barley, etc. These external seeds are nominally established, because the inner nature exists. If establishing what was not there before is indeed sowing seeds, then it would not be sown like that on coal, etc., because there is no fame. If the inner is only habituation or only sowing is the seed, then it should be answered: If there are no habits of hearing, etc., then that is the result, because one does not see the result of hearing a lot and direct perception, etc. Furthermore, if without habituation, like the roots of sesame and উৎপལ(utpala, Sanskrit, नीलाब्ज, blue lotus), etc., fruits suddenly arise, then the generous would become poor, and the miserly would become rich. Therefore, doing and not doing, destruction and encounter, would become faults, therefore it would contradict the established tenet. The seed of giving that has been done will be destroyed, and what has not been done will encounter poverty and arise. If the external seed is different from the alaya-consciousness, then how will it not be harmful to what was said earlier that the alaya-consciousness is all seeds? Answer with "The inner is the external condition," etc. Like the seeds of rice, etc., the seeds of the karmic imprints of the sentient beings who closely use those seeds exist in the alaya-consciousness, and those have been proven to appear as those (rice, etc.). Therefore, it is not different from it. The common and uncommon dependent arising come along the way, the seed is complete. The dependent arising of those who closely use, which belongs to the category of uncommon dependent arising, is mentioned to show that, so "also" is said. The so-called entering consciousness is the six entering consciousnesses, because it will appear "also the six consciousnesses." Why only the six consciousnesses? Like this, the body and all the goers, if they encounter liked and disliked objects, they will approach

Because it mainly operates by manifesting pleasure, pain, and equanimity. This is not possible in the ālaya-vijñāna because it does not manifest. Although the afflicted mind also manifests, it is mainly focused on seeing, not on feeling. Therefore, activity is mainly distinguished by feeling, so only the six entering consciousnesses are characterized by activity. As it is said. This is called the source of the one with activity. One is the consciousness of condition. It is called the ālaya-vijñāna, although it is also the result itself, but because it is the basis of seeds and the cause of the nature of all dharmas, it is distinguished by condition and called the consciousness of condition. Entering consciousness is distinguished by activity, so it is called the one with activity. Activity is mainly the feeling that is concordant with entering consciousness. Grasping its characteristics is elimination. What enters into that activity are the other agents, namely the mental events that are mainly concordant with entering consciousness. Therefore, this shows that even without external objects, the activity of beings can occur. What was previously said that one is the condition of the other, this is shown by scripture, quoting verses from the Sutra on the Collection of Dharmas. Because the consciousness of condition is mentioned, in order to clarify the doubt that others are not conditions, and also to explain the conditions that will appear below, it is also quoted here. All dharmas are connected to consciousness, which is to say, as it is said in the Compendium of Determinations, the ālaya-vijñāna is the condition of the two entering consciousnesses, through the nature of seeds and the way of giving a basis. Among them, through the way of seeds, any small entering consciousness, whether virtuous, non-virtuous, or neutral, is the seed of the ālaya-vijñāna. Among them, through the way of giving a basis, what is grasped by the ālaya-vijñāna

If relying on the sense powers with form, the five aggregates of consciousness will arise, and if not, they will not. If, like the support of the eye and so on, there is the ālaya-vijñāna, then the five aggregates of consciousness, and the mind and the consciousness of the mind will arise, and if not, they will not. The entering consciousness acts as a condition for the ālaya-vijñāna in two ways, namely, in order to fully nourish the seeds in the seen dharma, and in order to make it manifest in the next life, through the way of placing the complete holding of the seeds. Therefore, if the seeds in the seen dharma are fully grown, then as such, the entering consciousness relying on the ālaya-vijñāna, whether virtuous, non-virtuous, or neutral, arises, and as such, it arises and ceases together with its own support, acting as a door. Because of the cause and condition, the later entering consciousness will arise more greatly, more tamed, and more clearly in the nature of virtue and so on, and so on, like this is explained. When making the chapter on conditions, if it is said that in the first dependent arising, those consciousnesses and so on. When the ālaya-vijñāna is close to distinguishing its own nature, then relying on that seed is the entering consciousness, and also relying on that is the ālaya-vijñāna arising from manifest action, therefore, in this way, those consciousnesses of dependent arising distinguishing its own nature and each other are the cause and condition. Therefore, indirectly, the first dependent arising is the cause and condition for all dharmas, it will be explained in this way. The ālaya-vijñāna, because it also abides in the nature of immediately preceding, object, and dominant condition for them, shouldn't it also be said to be the immediately preceding condition and so on? For the time being, it should not be said to be the immediately preceding condition, because if which consciousness manifests, it will hinder the arising of other consciousnesses, and if it ceases, it will open the way, being in accordance with arising, that is the immediately preceding.
