Or is it applied to the two, virtue and non-virtue? Or if examined in terms of the two, complete affliction or complete purification, it is not clear, because it is the meaning of being unstated. In this regard, the external seed is what has been stated, and it is precisely because it is unstated that it is not clear. The internal is also unclear because the nature of virtue and so on is not observed. Alternatively, the external seed is because it is unstated. The internal is also slightly unclear, because whatever is produced by the internal dharmas of virtue and non-virtue is virtue and non-virtue. The two and the conventional are external, because they are objects of nominal consciousness, so they are not established. The ultimate meaning is internal, because it is established by the two tolerances. The momentary and so on show the six kinds of seeds. Because the result is not observed from the permanent, both external and internal seeds are momentary. The internal arises simultaneously with the result, as has already been established. It is also said that the external arises slightly simultaneously with the result, such as the root of a lotus, crystal, lamp, shadow, mother, and sprout. Alternatively, all external seeds also arise simultaneously with the result. Wherever seeds and sprouts are known as entities of cause and effect that are not simultaneous in time, there, in the stage of the sprout, the continuity of the seed, the Sālu grain, also arises. It is so, because even at the final stage of the sprout and so on, the result is manifestly accomplished. What arises by continuity also does not arise without the sprout and so on, so like a cause with equal power, it is both a cause and arises simultaneously, so there is no contradiction. The external seed arises continuously only by following until it encounters the opposing cause. The internal is also the seed of the habitual tendencies of the limb of existence until the fruit of maturation arises. The seed of the view of the perishable aggregate and the seed of the habitual tendencies of afflictive elaboration are until the antidote arises. The seed of the habitual tendencies of virtue and the unstated is also the Śrāvaka.
